Starlith: I never use cases anymore, it defeats the whole purpose of the phone design. I currently have a carbon fibre skin for my Z1 Compact. The skin is cut out for all the parts of the phone including the sides and back. Once on it looks awesome and provides adequate protection, if you want to sell your phone you just peel the skin off and it looks brand new again.

I bought Skinomi ones for my Z1 Compact but theres Z2 ones on Amazon.

Does this case allow the phone to dock with the case on? I've got one of the "Made for Xperia" Roxfit Gel case which doesn't fit! GRRR makes me wonder why they call it "Made for xperia" and its sony licensed so they should know better... *mutters*

Yup it fits magnetic charger, its not a case though, its a skin. So its pretty much like a sticker that goes over the whole phone.

My magnetic charger came with an extra insert which is wider than the phone. Is this not for phones with cases?

It just puts it on a different angle from what i've seen. The case won't fit in it no matter which one i use. Pretty annoying considering it was "Made for the Xperia Z2"

Anyone had the issue of the magnetic charge adaptor coming loose out of the phone?

A couple of months of owning this phone and I couldn't be happier. I reckon I have the best android handset on the NZ market today.

I had two reservations when I bought. (1) I was initially concerned that the size was a little too big (2) the unreleased G3 may be the better bet.

Well, it's amazing how quickly you adapt to size - now not a problem. And now that I have seen the G3 in the flesh, I wouldn't swap the Z2 for it.

Best thing about the phone is the battery. I loved my previous Nexus 5, but the battery life sucked. The Z2 on stamina mode it just keeps going and going. Although I top up each day, I could easily squeeze 2+ days if needed.

Sony, you've nailed it.

I'm with you Dafman

Moved from a nexus 5 which I loved apart from battery life. I've had my Z2 for two weeks now and am simply blown away. I'm getting 6 hours screen time + and still have 20 to 30% battery remaining. And that's not even mentioning the amazing camera!

I had some bluetooth issues but they were in one app.

I got another update yesterday.. 23.5.A.0.575.

The only thing that annoys me is the lack of rotation when it's docked. The home screen used to rotate even when it was potrait-locked.

Haven't received it yet..how long ago did it update for you? Still on 5.1.1, software update says it's up to date also.

Was that using the "Software repair" function in companion?

Just did that and reset the phone, still no luck. Stuck on 5.1.1, may look at flashing/rooting whatever it is, will have to do a bit of research. Thanks anyway!
