Available globally in March.
Bigger and better screen, bigger battery, more RAM, 4k video recording. All in the same footprint as the Z1.

They've addressed the biggest issue I had with the Z1... Those huge bezels!

I'd have to say I am a little tempted on the Z2, jumping from Samsung, but we'll see what S5 is like before conclusion.

Double likewise - really liking the look of the Z2 and its specs.

After seeing the S5, this is probably the best phone announced. S5 was a real let down.

kudos to Sony for taking the initiative. Seems Samsung have gotten lazy.

I am keen on the Z2 but will wait another month for the HTC One 2014 announcement before deciding.

Still a fingerprint magnet though.

Watched one video and within 20 seconds when the guy turned the phone around all you could see was fingerprint marks all over the back and on the front bottom black bezel.

I managed to have a look at a Z2 in person next to a Z1 and the difference in screen quality is quite noticeable. The colours were much brighter and the IPS panel showed in the viewing angles. Didn't get to have a play around on it unfortunately

I found the LG G2 to be a shocker for that too. Solution? Get a white one.

Yea it'll be interesting to see what the new HTC phone brings to the table. The Z2 doesn't launch here until April so there'll be time to see the announcement before making a decision.

I didn't have a problem with the Z1's bezels or size, but then I am a Note user. Great move by Sony to keep the same footprint while boosting everything else. Quite looking forward to seeing the screen, as that has been Sony's biggest issue with hardware historically. The Z1 was already an enormous step up over the truly abysmal screen (and battery life) on the original Z, so will be great to see them leap to the forefront in the display space. The stereo speakers are also extremely welcome, as they were a feature I always did covet from the HTC One & One max. Then there's the on-device noise cancelling for headphones, that could be worth a looksee.

At this point, there's a lot of marketshare that could be Sony's for the taking. Hope this does well.

Most importantly, it still has the amazing feature of the Z1 that lets you add dinosaurs to any given situation.

Yeah the more I read about this phone the more I lean towards it over the as yet unannounced LG G3 (current G2 owner). Am unlikely to get the HTC One and the camera for me was absolute rubbish and unless there is something truly amazing done to it, I don't see myself changing my mind.

The Z2 however seems to tick all the right boxes. Some of the video features are really cool. Here is hoping the camera has seen some improvements too. Early reports seem indicate the screen is a good un.
