droidxt:

How long did the warranty process take?

According to the txt I got yesterday, it has taken 7 days for the phone to get from Noel Leeming to the Vodafone repair centre, and they estimate 3-5 days before it's back in the store for collection.

Go the phone back today. 4 days after the VF repair centre received it. They actually have given me a brand new phone in original packaging. That's a bit of a worry as it suggests they can't repair them. I'd guess they have no parts.

Its so cheap its more cost effective to just replace it.

Now the owner of one of these, after many years running Windows Phone.  I've now got many more apps installed, but noticed that this device is not on the supported list for Fanpass - http://fanpass.co.nz/faq - so I'm hoping that it may be added in future.

My preference would always be to have a new item over a 'fixed' item any day

Since i bought mine i have switched my wife and a work colleague over to them making 3 out of 3 happy campers with zero issues

I'm going to be monitoring this touch screen degradation/spots issue very closely. I can't see any spots on mine, and I don't seem to have any issues with touch. I did notice that touch seems to start ~1.5mm further in on the left side than it does on the right, but this is perfectly uniform all the way down, and it's identical on both units.

As a side note, I've noticed that this display has a sort of plasma-esque "line bleed" effect. If you have a flat background of a certain colour and put a bright object on it, it can cast a faint "shadow" band the entire length of the screen. I've seen this sort of thing on some monitors like the Philips BDM4065UC. I think this effect can also make the display appear to lighten/darken subtly when large items are brought onto the screen.

Has anyone else found that voice dial using a bluetooth headset doesn't seem to activate? unsure if it's just me or if its the phone.

Does this phone have any more base memory than the smart prime smaller version?

We have the smart prime and are considering upgrading to the ultra, but hoping there is more memory for apps than the smaller prime? (For those that can't be moved to an SD card)

Also, any word on future OS upgrades?

It has 16GB, and I've loaded mine up with all the apps I couldn't get on WP :).  I've still got ~7GB of available space, and have a 64GB SD for my media

Thanks.

Looking at this, I assume these are the same models we're talking about:

I cant see a ZTE phone made for carrier to soak up the "oh that ones a bit too much" getting 6.0 support.
