Thanks, appreciate the offer, but really wanting to get the Slim Fit case :) I really liked it on my Samsung S6 Edge+, so would like to stick with that. (also love the sleek, black look).

I've sent an email off to Spigen to see if they can find a way to ship to me. Failing that, it looks like I'll need to use YouShop (I try to avoid them after I got stung with ridiculous charges for my last package).

Hope you get the slim one OK!!  I get the feeling they have a glitch in their system maybe??  I also just tried to see if shipping would work to my son's address in Melbourne - and exactly the same issue.  Let us know how you get on with a response.

I managed to buy a Glas+TR screen protector and a Slim Fit case for my 6P without any problems last night on Spigen. I found that buying just the slim case (or even 10 of them in case they had a minimum purchase) didn't work.

Try buying two things and see if it works just as a check. If so, it might be a bug on the Spigen website.

Yeah, I bought 2 items as well (actually 3) - maybe thats why it worked.

hadenkose: I originally bought two items as well, come to think of it. Just added 2 items to my cart on the spigen site and sure enough it showed the shipping costs. Looks like they've got a little bug in the checkout system.

OK, so there is definitely a bug. If I try ordering either one or two Slim Fit cases, it doesnt work. The moment I add another product (I tried adding a screen protector), the rates work.

I don't particularly want a screen protector, will convert the costs and see what the costs come out as, might just have to bite the bullet and pay the extra $10US.

getresults: Downsides for me:

* I find it annoying that it's hard to tell when the volume down button ends & the volume up button starts. It would be nice to have a clearer tactile indication.  Often I've mistaken the volume buttons as a single button and tried to use the power button as volume up. Sigh.

* As much as I disliked Samsung extras bloat there are things about the Touch Wiz interface I definitely miss. Accessing the android settings was much easier on my S5. Trying to do something as simple as adjust the volume on screen is a PITA on the 6P and the settings icons are so generic I have to keep looking to make sure I'm hitting the right one.

These are very minor quibbles.

These are my main concerns. I never understand why people complain about touchwiz as it makes the phone way better than the plain android. I don't use social media but the integration in term of taking notes / bundled software are extremely useful. The vanilla experience is no way the same as what Samsung has done with their phone.

I am starting to wonder if my 6P will end up on trademe after a week use!

I've been emailing their Customer Support this morning. They have identified and fixed the store issue- it looks like it was only affecting that one item.

I have now placed an order for 3 Thin Fit cases :)

Funny you should say that. I bought a S6 Edge+ about 2 months ago, I had it for about a week and decided to hawk it off.
While you may very well be correct in some of the usability features, that was outweighed for me by the rather crappy performance of transitions etc.  - bearing in mind, I'm not talking about transitions while maxing out the CPU, I just mean the fluidity (is that a word?) of the interface in general.

Samsung still have a way to go in terms of their TW interface IMO, and I certainly don't feel the buyers remorse for my Nexus, as I did when I purchased my Samsung. This coming from a guy that was previously on the the iPhone since day dot.

The Nexus definitely appeals to me firstly for the performance side of things for transitions- from there I can do what I want. (A blank canvas, so to speak) and secondly for updates. The Samsung, while definitely a performance machine, had its quirks that I just wasn't quite willing to live with, despite it's very large feature list.

The stock interface is definitely taking some time getting used to, but no issues I would consider changing phones for.

rayray: Is anyone having issues with the 'OK Google' detection?

I have not had problems with "OK Google" but then I do not use it from the unlocked state.

Have you gone to "Google Now" (Swipe right) and touch the menu (top left) then settings > Search Language and set to English (NZ)?
This will also set the voice command language to the same and may help with your problem. (He says while clutching at straws)

Thanks for the tip, I gave it a go but no luck. I found out after doing some searching that it's a software issue (even though different phones have different results).

I can make most commands, I just can't turn on or off settings and open some apps. Good enough for now I guess.

If anyone is interested I got the Nexus 6P from Harvey Norman today and it works fine on a Vodafone simcard that I had to cut down to size to fit as it was a microsim.

So has anyone found cases in a physical store?  Not many listed on Pricespy yet but I suspect there are at least a few out there?

I haven't, though i haven't really looked either. Once I saw PB Tech out of stock and NL said they didn't have anything, I didn't inquire much further.

Apart from PBTech I haven't seen ant instore, luckily I picked one up from PBTech before they ran out, happy Spigen Armour case, very slick. The Google one I ordered did finally arrive, don't really like it...bit too bulky, and it didn't really line up as well as the one I have. After the glass encased Xperia Z3 I had, I feel way more secure with this phone, despite losing water proofing on the Nexus...metal framed/backed phones just make sense, won't make that mistake again (three cracked backs on the Z3...)

FYI for those interested Spigen is doing a black friday sale on Amazon, so you can get the cases discounted. I used YouShop as there were some other items I wanted too (e.g. "google-reviewed" USB-C cables, and iCarez glass protector)

Quick question. Has anybody heard of any differences between our 2degrees/huawei purchased phones and a Google store purchased phone? My phone has text on the rear plastic cover plate, whereas the Google store version has no text? Not worried or complaining at all, just interested to see if this is indeed the case and if so, why?

I have a Google sourced one and it has the text you refer to on the plastic plate that covers the aerial (bottom of the phone)

Cheers Matt.  That's what I thought.  Was just confused as there is a 64gb graphite N6p for sale on Trademe and it is a NZ model, without the text.  I did a quick google search and the seller has actually just taken the photo's off the interweb.  Crisis averted wink
