Hi People

Forgive me if there is a different thread about this but I am wondering what anyone knows about the upcoming Pixel 8 (any variant) release in NZ.

Is it likely to still be parrell import or will they release direct?
Either way, are we expecting the 8 to have all features enabled here? I live rurally and have zero cell reception on anything from no G to 5 G so rely on wifi calling in particular.

Kia ora in advance

Doesn't seem to be released for the 7 Pro.

Either that or they're rolling it out very carefully so they can watch how badly it does/doesn't blow up storage.

In the post it says it's for the 7 Pro - but you're probably right about it breaking storage lol.

Yes they often annouce things and then it takes days/weeks to get the thing.

This is a security patch though so you'd hope it'll roll out fairly soon especially as the 8 already seems to be getting it.

Patience is all you can have. They release it when they release it.

The fact it's a security update is why I was like "oh, I should have this buy now, what gives..." lol. I don't mind waiting, it was just weird to see it up on the pixel hub thingy and no sign of it when doing a manual check.

If you check for updates now it you should have it. It's a ~26m update so tiny (for the P7Pro)

I'm guessing their going real slow with this roll out, due to the storage issues caused by the initial A14 update.

I got impatient and just sideloaded the update. (No you don't have to wipe/lose data, yes it's easy)
