Woke up to it telling me it had updated and wanted to reboot.

Not sure what was fixed.

Just got the first update on my S25U this morning. For anyone interested the "update information" notes are attached.

Seems very generic and main highlight is the Feb 2025 Security Updates - though I noticed my Google Play System Update hasn't moved.

Install time was very quick (literally 3 min overall). S25 is the apparently the first Samsung flagship to have "seamless updates" so possibly that's why. I haven't owned any other recent S series phones (but have used A series at work) so not sure how quick the S22/3/4 were.

Got my update too, it was a fast download and install. Straight after i do recommend going to playstore to update app then to the Samsung store to update them apps too.

Lovely the phone so far!

Ending the workday with 58%, nice change from the S22 (probably requires a full charge by now).

TG09:

Question is now if you have your phone, what wireless chargers and phone car holders do you use to keep its charged and safe in the car?

I got this one and am pretty happy with it: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MPPBEL6340899/Belkin-BoostCharge-Pro-Wireless-Car-Charger-with-M

Only downside is that it sticks out from the air vent enough that it took a while to find a position where it didn't interfere with my hands when indicating or turning on the wipers (both my vents are close to the steering wheel). But I've got it in a good position now and it holds the phone firmly - no issues with it yet.

Edit: I should mention that I have the S25, so I can't comment on how stable it is holding the bigger phones.

What case are you using?

Do accessories like this need a magnetic case to hold the phone firmly?

Yes - a magnetic case is needed because the S25 doesn't have any magnets in it. I got the Samsung clear magnetic case. It's OK, but doesn't feel like it offers that much protection. There are loads to choose from now, so will shop around and will make sure the new one has magnets. :-)

I'll also add a +1 to that Belkin Boost Charge Pro Wireless Car Charger with the S25U, I'm happy with it.

Well, what a drama that was.  I decided to return a pre- ordered S25+, and am still waiting for Samsung to process the return.  In the meantime, I've been trying to find a decent deal on an Ultra, and finally managed to do so with their latest special.  I was able to stack a couple of coupons with a trade-in boost, and will end up paying a similar price to the S25+.  But it wasn't simple!

does anyone know exactly how game booster interacts with games?

wurthing waves for eg has a TON of settings , from framerate to res ... are those settings relative to what gamebooster "shows" the game?   ie performance vs balanced ... if i set max res in game booster to 75% ,  then setting rez within the game settings to medium .. thats essentially going to result in the game rendering its medium internal rez to the systems 75% ?

can get confusing.

but what im interested in is reducing heat.  does more heat generate from having game booster give 100% to a game ... or .. would i actually generate more heat using game booster to reduce resources to a game, then within the game i set everything to max .. will that strain the reduced resources more so than if i set game boosted to performance ... which in theory be able to handle the strain better?

this is like inception ...

but yep my main goal here is to have WW looking as good as i can, at a decent frame rate .. while running cool as i can.  and i don't care too much about battery drain

My S25 Ultra arrived today.  I used Smart Switch to copy almost everything over from the S22+, which worked surprisingly well.  I may do a clean install later as there were a lot of apps on the old phone, but having everything in Samsung Internet transfer is a definite plus.

Very impressed with the phone so far and very pleased that I returned the Plus and ordered the Ultra instead.  It is slightly longer than the S22+ but about the same width, thickness and weight.  I ordered the Jade, which is really just silver with a green tint depending on the light.  I was expecting that after seeing an icy blue S25.

Pretty sure that feature no longer exists. You might have to try something different, perhaps as suggested here: https://www.reddit.com/r/samsunggalaxy/comments/1ifggsd/missing_swipe_in_the_bottom_corner_for_gemini/
