Not possible, as fat32 (and other windows filesystems) don't support symlinks.
You could of course re-format the SD card with a *nix filesystem, but then you wouldn't be able to access it from a windows OS.

Right, /mnt/sdcard is where your SD card is mounted, with a fat32 filesystem. You can't create symlinks under this path.

Ive been running JB for awhile with SuperNexus Rom and its pretty stable, slight memory leak but otherwise superb!

you are correct, sorry... I meant to say as such. Either way, the filesystem on the internal memory still doesn't support symlinks.

Not yet. Using 'effing Hotfile for the download, download failed twice last night with no resume possible and before bed nobody had arranged a better mirror. Will try again tomorrow (at Slash tonight, so no ROM flash for me).
In terms of this being a wipe ROM, doesn't bother me at all. I always wipe on a fresh flash. Titanium Backup makes restoration simple.
