Does anyone know if this phone will work in the USA and Canada?

The 2 Degrees website says it needs to support 850MHz or 1900MHz frequencies.

Will work on 2G at best, not recommended for use in the US. Vodafone devices are built with the European market in mind. :)

Those frequencies are for AT&T's 3G services only FYI, Smart ultra supports neither of them.

I got this phone for my wife a few months back for $230 and it's ridiculously good for the price. Has to be the best deal going around. I even like the design of it (although I know some don't). Great battery life and display, speedy, stock UI, and a decent camera. Would like it to have 5Ghz wireless though. Hopefully the next years model does.

Have there been any other silent revisions to this model aside from the display and CPU clock?

The SU6 I got in 2015 had a core clock of 1.5 GHz as advertised, but the two units I've purchased in 2016 are at 1.46 GHz.

The screen appears to have been changed because my two 2016 units have a much warmer color profile compared to the old one, and I've seen posts from other people who have noticed the same thing, eg: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375801-slight-screen-change-between-handsets/

Looks nice, but £295, even with a brexit exchange rate, is kinda pricey.

Removable back but non-removable battery. What is it with these idiot phone manufacturers and their aversion to user removable batteries?

I see these phones as keep for a year or so then replace so replaceable battery seems surplus to requirements?

My screen in top left corner has started to go yellow so I will be doing a warranty claim one of these days, i'm actually quite happy about this as I suspect it will be replaced rather than repaired which means start again new phone happy customer :P

The Platinum 7 looks nice

I'm thinking an upgrade is worthwhile just for 6.0, no real reason to upgrade more of a feel good upgrade i guess, maybe the SOC will give a little boost but otherwise much of the same same
