Have a look at Microsoft SwiftKey AI keyboard. I haven't used it my self, but a few people I work with do.

That was preinstalled. I had a quick go and found the drag typing terrible, but I had another go and it's not so bad. It does combine voice and keyboard typing together, not as good as Google Keyboard on Pixel but enough to be worth a try. Good tip, thanks!

Does take a little bit to get used to the drag typing (though not too long really) but once you are used to it, you try it on everything with a screen and wonder why it doesn't work.  ;-)

I've been using that style of input for at least a decade, it's just that Google Keyboard is better at it 😉 It might just be a case of getting used to how the different keyboard works. I mostly use voice typing which I then edit with Swype style typing, which should be possible with Swiftkey.

The April update finally downloaded on Skinny.  Has anyone had problems with this? - some users on Reddit have reported issues with system apps making frequent location requests, affecting battery life.

Was that with a trade in bonus?

Yes, $410 for S23 trade-in, plus another $100 trade-in bonus.

My mrs got sick of my indecision so she has offered me either the S25 Ultra or the Iphone 16 Pro for my bday.

Are you happy enough with the S25 Ultra images?

Not sure which to choose. I value camera and screen quality for Disney viewing etc.

Camera quality is neck n neck I reckon but for screen quality, definitely go with Sammy for the almost uninterrupted screen real estate vs the annoying dynamic island on the fruit phone.

yeah, the iphone pro is ranked 4th for camera, sammy is 32nd, but sammy is #1 on dxo for screens. cant take it too literal though.

I doubt you'll have any issue with the camera capability.  The top end are all really good now.  You'd only really get better from going fully DSLR.  And they are terrible for watching movies on. 😀

Haven't taken many photos with S25 yet but camera seems similar to the pixel. Screen also similar. The main difference is the software plus S25 is much faster.

yes, thats where Pixel finally changed SoC for the upcoming Pixel 10.

I wont swap to it until all the bugs are ironed out.

Which case did you go with? I just want a cheap but effective TPU, I assumed Samsung stopped putting one in the box? And then I guess a screen protector.

I always get Spigen liquid air. I never do screen protector, don't like them.

Pixel 10 CPU will be underpowered like all the others.

I find looking at Apple IOS, very mature and cute, in some ways I prefer it as I liked the locked down feel of Win10 Mobile. But, the S25U has endless stuff to explore and use and it has the hardware to run it.

Yes true about Pixel 10, but using TSMC tech it is heading in the right direction over Samsung.

I think it's time to stop talking about it and buy a phone. Either will do the job.
