Coming from my old Galaxy S3 this is a massive improvement in every respect. Running on 2Degrees, 4G is super-fast, and everything is working as expected.

The only downside at this stage, being that this is the SM-G9250 (Taiwan) model, is the lack of dev support for kernels/firmware. Once the F or I variants are available in green, I'll probably flick this off and buy one, as battery life isn't brilliant with all the bloatware running, and root is irrevocable (in terms of Knox being tripped).

Nice. Where did you get this from? Ebay? Expansys? I am wanting to get a green one in 64GB as well.

Paid a good deal less than what they're selling them for now too, due to locking my purchase in in April.

Great phone, and so long as you don't want LTE 700 or dev support as mentioned.

L700 Support should almost be top of the list of features to have

Sure. . If you live in Auckland or Wellington maybe. 2Degrees only just got LTE enabled in Dunedin, and it's only in the CBD. I think having the freedom of colour choices and more realistic pricing over what our Telco's offer is well-worth not having L700. As always, YMMV.

Huh? if you live in Auckland or Wellington or a main centre you are less likely to benefit from L700 especially in the short term, L700 is about 4g deployment outside of densely populated areas.

Vodafone has deployed some L700 not just on rural sites and in Auckland but is limited

Oh, ok, thanks for the heads up. But my point still stands - even if it's a rural initiative, it'll still be aimed where the population is (and rightly so) - so the likes of the Waikato and around Taranaki. By the time the lack of L700 becomes issuous, the Galaxy S7 will probably be available.

Of course Expert Infotech, forgot about those guys...

If you have a Taiwanese S6 Edge G9250 then it should definitely support LTE 700 (Band 28) as they are one of the earliest country to roll out band 28 support.

If you have a Taiwanese S6 Edge G9250 then it should definitely support LTE 700 (Band 28) as they are one of the earliest country to roll out band 28 support.

I just went to Expert Infotech's website and it lists the green 64GB S6 Edge with model number G925 and spec section has no band 28 listed

Interesting, as my 9250 has the Taiwanese CSC?

Might have to hold back getting it until there is a resolution

Not just 5.1 for sure pop over to Sam mobile they have an article about it

Dam and don't want to hard reset handset right now as on holiday in Japan

Damn - I am missing several toggles and I so not was to factory reset, so will be waiting patiently

An easy 5 hours of SOT - using my Edge for work e-mails/phone calls as well as all the usual stuff. . .Location on to enable Smart Lock, plenty of Youtube, FB, Twitter, taking photos etc.

I'm pretty impressed!

With this being a global issue, I'm pretty sure Samsung will address this issue fairly quickly. It's already being worked on by their in-house team. If you can afford to wait for an official fix and just use "Settings -> Data Usage -> Mobile Data toggle" for now you can avoid a factory reset. Perhaps a toggle from the play store may be a temporary fix?

Had a look at the official Samsung S6 Edge Clear View Case, the front cover wraps right round the bevel edge, making the edge features fairly redundant when using this case.

A bit of a dissapointment.

Might have a look at the spigen

JB Hi-Fi chucked in a Samsung Clear Cover when I bought the phone - looking for something with a bit more protection, I do like the look for the Spigen Neo Hybrid

For those that have the missing toggles in the quick settings, Samsung have released a fix... Go to Galaxy Apps and search for Quick Panel restore. Install it and select restore. Once complete it will ask you to uninstall the app, and you will find your missing toggles are back!

I've just caught my SGS6 Edge - again -: being unable to make any phone calls unless I restart my phone. This time I gave it a real good try. Nothing. No bars showing for phone service, but 4G data was operational.

After restarting, the phone connected to the phone network and calls worked just fine.... Sitting in the same place. Didn't move or even turn.

I've caught the phone doing this several times. I may go back to my Nexus 6. It's huge, but it works.

Haha I didn't even know I was missing toggles until I ran this!

Ran the QuickPanel Restore app from teh Samsung Store and my toggles were available again to be dragged into the Quick Panel area. Yay! Thanks for advising that the fix was available!
