Good call - choosing between Siyah and Abyss is a bit like choosing between sex or pizza. . . . .You really can't pick a bad option. . . . Wink

adamvnz: Just wanting to find out if this would work on our g2 phone http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/iRigMicCast/
I am not sure if the pins are the same on the iphone as on ours. I am also thinking that this will help when videoing live bands that I mix sound for, as the inbuilt mic sux.

If you're using it for Live recording I'd also isolate the mic from the device (ext. cable) to minimise any handling of the handset (or any other unwanted vibrations) getting into the captured audio file.

Anyone using Siyah to dual boot ROMs? I'm running Res Remix for my main boot and trialling Salman on the secondary boot. Easy way to try new roms.

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)

Hi guys,
I have the stock Telecom ROM. I use 2 Degrees and for the past couple days my phone has alerted me to a software update. However, when I am home and connected to wifi, checking for updates says there are no new updates.

What does this mean? Do 2 Degrees have their own version that is more recent than the Telecom one I flashed when it came out?

I also got the software update (Vodafone SGS2) and downloaded and installed.  The description was very vague - Stability improvements.

Hopefully this proves correct as since I updated to ICS the phone has been reasonably unstable (hung apps/non responsive screen).  I was tempted to reflash to Gingerbread...

Yeah, i got the update too... no fires yet, so everything seems good.

In other news... my life is Soooo much more comfortable now that I don't have to think about how to save battery every moment I can.  I bought a 2000mah battery from PBTech.

Ahhhh....

The latest LPI update from Vodafone is fantastic and finally gives similar performance to the older Gingerbread roms. I can recommend it.
Regards,
John.

I just used Kies for her phone. It's completely stock.

Hope Wellington is ok, seeing twitter comments already and got quite a shake in Feilding.

Sorry. Wife's phone and she's already at work. My phone is running a custom LPG based rom so is no help either.

You can work out the codes from what I've already provided though.

The PDA is the build version you're after. Just add I9100TDO to the start of the code, makes it I9100TDOLP7 (was LP3 for the previous version I think).
The Phone is the modem and the CSC is a carrier/regional code with specific customisations (APN's, carrier branding etc)
