InspectorGadget:Wade: I am now on B136 and still with swype keyboard, I thought the only people that lost swype were those that did not apply the OTA update?
There's been an OTA update from 2D? Did it add WiFi hotspot?

Yes, where have you been?
dontpanic42: I have an IDEOS X5, and I've been tossing up whether or not to load the infamously dodgy 2.3.5 "update" that Huawei released at the end of last year. Only as a prerequisite to dzo's ICS port, of course.
@InspectorGadget: Could you tell me if you have had any issues at all with dropped calls, or IMEI number being wiped (call *#06# on the phone to find out). Or any issues at all for that matter.
Could you also tell me what type of screen you have (i.e. either Synaptics or Amtel). You can find this out using the Elixir 2 app.
What version of 2.3.5 did you load on before loading dzo's ICS over top?
I'm considering loading the newest [V100R001C00B526G001 Normal] that was released by Huawei on Friday 17th, and then dzo's ICS over top.
Many thanks in advance. :)
InspectorGadget:
I've just pulled down Elixir, but I can't see where I can determine whcih screen I have.

Sorry, yeah, that one is a bit elusive. I should have guided to it before.
For me it's in Information --> Device --> Input devices. Tap Input devices and then tap More Information
Use the across arrow until you get to your screen listing.
Mine is a 'Synaptics RMI4'.
So you used the [U8800 V100R001C00B517G001] update?
Thanks. :)

hangon: Huawei is really slow on fixing outdated models.
For a phone that came out end of 2010/start of 2011 and that is so cheap I reckon it is a miracle that Huawei spend any time/effort supporting it by updating the software/firmware.
