joker97: Hi im not sure how long the battery lasts but i'm thinking of buying an oem 3500mAh battery from dx.com for 9USD ... Is it safe? Anyone used these giant batteries before? Thanks

3500mAh batteries are definitely not oem. I had a pair of them about 18 months ago. They're actually about 2400mAh, but for the price you can't really argue. They're heavy and have poorly fitting covers, but they worked fine for me.
I did get rid of mine rather quickly once the OEM 2000mAh batteries came out and have never looked back since.

On another note, I'm downloading an odin flashable firmware to update my wife's i9100T to 4.1.2 (I'm on 4.2.2), only 11 hours left ...

How can one tell if my battery is not holding as much charge as it used to? 2000mAh is not that much mor than the stock 1600mAh

Also if i have a 9100T but runs non T stock rom 4.1.2 will i be disadvantaged if i didnt update to. t specific rom?

How can you tell how much charge it now holds? Without proper measuring equipment you can't really. However, most Li-Po battery last between 300 and 500 cycles before slowly dropping below 50% of the original capacity. My two extended batteries have had over 400 cycles each.
The 2000mAh is about 20% more than stock - if your old battery used to last 8 hours, this would last 10.

Here's my battery and external charger

The T-model rom is same as any other but has a different modem(and carrier bloatware of course). The difference between the T and international model is radio tweaks for the 850MHz band. In reality you'd be hard pressed to ever notice and can easily run T-model modems anyway. So no, you won't be disadvantaged.

Does anyone have a link or a small summary available of the differences between 4.1.2 (stock) and 4.2.2 (any Rom, but JellyBAM is the one that's caught my eye)?

Hi,

All of a sudden my keyboard has started floating. I can move it up and down but can't seem to get it to reattach to the bottom where it usually is. I'm finding it quite annoying. Does any know a) how this happened, and b) how to revert the keyboard back to a fixed bottom of the screen position?

Thanks
Tony

Yes, you will need to flash the T model modem. I had appalling battery life after flashing the Spain Jellybean Rom and after flashing the old DOLP4 modem, battery life has returned to normal. Seems the non-T version modems don't have the right drivers for the T-model specific hardware and you get poor reception and battery drains quickly trying to keep a connection etc.

Hi,

My USB cable for the charger has been playing and my phone is still under warranty (expires this August) but NL claims that the charger/USB cable only has 6 months warranty. Is that the right way to go about it?
