tonyhughes: Polish JB XT with Siyah kernel here.
Can get approx 40hrs of light mixed use, with approx 4hrs screen on, and with screen on I am gaming, browsing, calling or texting typically.
zpempire: I am still having troubles with push notification on WhatsApp, Twitter, Wechat and other communication applications. So basically, none notifications are received except Gmail and text message.
Here is the problem:
1. Restart the phone and Do nothing.
2. Received push notification from Text message and Gmail.
3. However, no notification received from Whatsapp, Twitter and so on....
Tried to OFF notification and ON again, it is no longer work. Also tried to uninstall apps and install again, does not work. All apps are allowed for notifications.
Does anyone know the cause of the problem? I am running Jelly Bean 4.1.1

It only worked once. Now no longer helpful.

I am curious why it worked the first time.. and not after that.
Might be we are missing something very small somewhere.. if you are up to it, try to do a factory reset.. (be mindful you will lose all your data - so do a backup first)..
If even this doesnt help.. then its probably a bug with the 4.1.1 installed on your phone.. but we will come to that conclusion when we need to..
Try the factory reset and let us know if it helped..!

I found out the problem. Once I end all active apps, push notification is no longer work. Aftering restarting the phone, it works again. So as long as not end all active apps, it works fine. I think end all active apps should not turn off push notification.

What are you using to end all active apps..? Are you removing them through task manager or using a third party app..?
kiwitrc: Isnt this a Galaxy Note 2? Might be best to take the discussion to the Note 2 thread, this thread is long enough without adding additional products.

There is not Note 2 thread available and s3 uses the same system.
