Extended battery was the best $80 ever spent. Had one for my S3 too.

timmmay: I charged my battery a few hours ago, it's gone down 3%. Of that 90% was google services, 4% screen, device idle 3%, voice calls 2%. I can post tomorrow after a full days use.

After charging mine goes down 3% in a few minutes

Takes mine about 30 mins... when I get up I spend 10 minutes looking at the news. It uses NFC task launcher to auto-connect BT and start google play music when I start the car, and when I get to work it's on 97-98%

That's why I bought it! I'm a power user, and like you, had crappy battery life... turned off data to make it through the day. That was suboptimal, so ordered the mugen the moment it was available!
I'm also running the GPe ROM since that was released.

I never bothered with a screen protector, i'm just a bit careful with it. I have an Incipio Dualpro case on it, means if I set it face down the screen never touches the desk/surface. Seems pretty good actually. Makes it feel quite a bit thicker, but worth it so I don't break it.

I thought about extended batteries, but even if I leave everything on I make it through a day no problems. I just don't need data on all the time, and it takes 2 seconds to turn it off.

I think I already said, but I use Llama for automation, so it goes into airplane mode at night, screen brightness changes, volume changes depending on location, etc. In the morning when it turns on it turns WiFi on for a while, syncs everything (calendar, email, etc), does its updates, then turns off. I told it "when I leave home turn WiFi and mobile data off", because I don't need it when I'm driving.

Got 2 other samsung batteries... one with the charger. Still a PITA. I only got them due to the mugen not being ready.

Haven't used a screen protector since before my HTC sensation. Hate them with a vengeance. lol

This is the reason I got the extended battery... I bought my phone to be used and hate having to turn anything off!

A couple of swipes occasionally is easier for me than carrying multiple batteries, especially given cases are annoying to put on and remove. That's why I'm getting wireless charging too, though I don't really need it that much, just sounds like a handy toy.
