Was NZ one of the release day countries in the 20?

Good on Samsung for a completely new revamped design to include more premium metal and glass materials but the lack of micro SD expansion is a deal breaker for me.

Personally I'd be happier with Plastic and Expansion Slot, but so many people whined about Plastic. #crazy

I don't swap out the SD card on any of my devices so may as well have fixed storage. Samsung have supposedly used a new type of storage in the S6 which is faster and uses less battery, so a SD card may not play nice. The problem is stumping up the extra cash initially to get the 64 or 128GB versions. Looking at initial overseas price indications the extra memory versions will be about + $200-$400. At least there is no pathetic 16GB version even offered.

Be interesting to see what the combination of Samsung Processor/QHD Display/2550mAh battery produces in terms of stamina. Just have a charging pad handy I guess, although if the slimmed down Touchwiz isn't running ten zillion samsung processes in the background that will help. I am disappointed they have ditched the waterproofing. I would have thought if you didn't have to open the back that would make it easier to waterproof rather than harder.

I have already seen comparisons between this and the iPhone 6. Some even suggesting a new round of lawsuits. But Samsung have gone for the same rounded design as always but encased it in metal and glass. Apple ditched the metal and glass when they went from 5S to 6. So what will base a suit on? That Samsung's new 5 inch phone is too much like their redundant old 4 inch phone and people might get confused? I would suggest that if that were the case then those people probably lack the capacity to operate a smart phone anyway. At least with glass on both sides it won't bend (or catch fire) in your pocket ;-)
Samsung had 5 inch phones long before Apple did.

I'd also like to know what issues you have, as I have had very few (Can't recall a single one) since TW was first introduced. I don't like the fact I can't sort or search my app tray but that's pretty minor.

I generally replace the battery after 8-9 months to get capacity back. That sucks to not be able to do that.

Also no snap on back means what as far as s view smart covers?

It really looks like they have taken the worst ideas of other phones and added them. I don't like the metal on my note 4. Always cold.

Wow are they keen to get sued again. From a few angles, it could be an iphone. Has USB type c not been fully ratified yet? I would have though we would have seen phones with it by now.

Lol, being sued and it being reasonable are two different things. You shouldn't be able to sue on the basis of shape, that's insane.

I think all and all it looks like a pretty good all round device, sure it has some trade offs but for me I think it's spot on some waterproofing would had been nice. What I'm interested in now is release date and pricing

If it doesn't have removeable battery or SD card, and wireless chargin, then why don't they make it so it is totally sealed, and water proof? They could make the whole thing sealed in glass/sapphire, or plastic. Although I would hate to think what would happen if the battery failed and bulged, like my samsung s battery did.
