My dad has the same phone, but the light in the top left-hand corner is always on. I suspect that is why his battery is drained after a day (whereas mine goes down to about 70% after 3 days). How do I turn this light off for my dad?
The light stays on when it's charging and goes off when fully charged
Flashes for notifications
I'm not sure what it means if it's on continually. I imagine if it's not listed in the manual it could mean the handset is faulty. Or perhaps one of the apps has turned the notification light on.
Yeah, did a bit of investigating and my mum noticed it was off when it was fully charged. However my phone doesn't display that light when charging.
Restarted the phone and he got a text message. Until it was seen to, the light was flashing. I don't get that on my phone either. Can I disable it on my dad's phone?
Maybe if its on for long periods (i.e. not flashing), it means there is something that needs to be seen (i.e a text or missed call notification), and it's been a while since that text or call occurred.
I doubt the notification light would significantly drain the battery, it's only a very small LED, although being on all the time wouldn't help It 's more likely the screen on for to long or something running in the background like gps If you look in settings, battery you should be able to get some idea of whats using battery power
Notification light on full till phone fully charged, flashing on unread txt message etc, that sounds normal.
You can disable the notification light, I think it's under settings display pulse light notification sorry I cant check I don't have access to a smart prime currently. it might only disable it for txt messages
If you've got problems with the notification light there is always the possibility something is wrong with the phone you could try a factory reset to make sure the phone is not at fault.
