So are vodafone not offering this phone? The only telco not advertising it for pre-order

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/samsung-galaxy/note7/features/

Stink. No pre-order bonus or blue option

Won't be buying from them then

Not sure why Vodafone aren't advertising it but if you pre-order on interest free you get $300 off the handset so $1299 over 12/24months rather then $1599!

This does auto calculate if you choose the colour and plan on the pre-order page :)

it seems flagship phones are going up in price about $100/year these days.

Spark has a pre-order but you have to be on their $59.99/month plan or above to be even eligible. $200 credit over 24 months isnt an incentive for me to up my monthly plan. a free 128gb SD card is a bit crappy too.

Vodafone is the same but no $200 credit although you can be on their $39.99/month plan for pre-order. no incentives here though. no freebies from them.

i dont think 2deg has a pre-order.

phone looks really nice though. looking forward to mortgaging one when it comes out.

Always wait about 2 months before buying a Samsung flagship. You'll save several hundred dollars. Check the parallel importer price on S7 and Edge these days...

i've been down the parallel imported path before and will never do it again. would rather spend the extra 2 hundy or so and buy it through someone reputable.

the Note 5 seemed to be holding its value a couple of weeks ago and hadnt dropped too much so i dont see the Note 7 dropping much in the next few months. you might find a freebie here or there included later on or some account credit but not really a drop in handset price.

Except that Vodafone plan equates to a price of $1,299 rather than $1,599 - as pointed out by mysticnz above.

benokobi: If note 5 pricing is to go by this'll be 300 dollars off in no time.

Is that what happened with the Note 5? Interesting because I would like a 7 but refuse to pay that ridiculous opening price. Would be keen at $300 lower.

got my note 5 for 1400 then it was down to 1100-1200 a while after launch

Follow the steps on - http://www.vodafone.co.nz/samsung-galaxy/note7/ this will work as long as you are out of term, otherwise pop into a branch and the pre-order can also be done there.

Yeah I've just had it confirmed the phone is going to be $1600.

That's stupid stupid money.

I've owned all the flagships in the Galaxy range each time they release, but I am not spending $1600 on a phone.

NOT HAPPY!

When I purchased mine in October last year I paid 999. I'm interested to see what deals come out this year but was thinking I'd try a different manufacturer. If it's going to be 1299 or over then I'm not keen!

$1600 is insane. I had always said I was prepared to stump up for the flagship based on how much I used my phone for everything, all the time. I didn't see the point in economising on such an oft used device.

And I can afford it.

But am I? No freaking way am I spending $1600 on a phone. My Note4 looks like it'll do me for at least another complete upgrade cycle. I'd like the 7 for sure, but not like it $1600 worth.

Cheers -N.
