Is there a reason why they make two versions, one with dual sim and one not?

Would it not be simpler to just make all of them dual sim?

Dual sim are not usually carried by carriers as it promotes people to use 2 different providers, which is the opposite of desirable.

Hi Nik.   I see you have the 16 Gig Moto G4 plus in stock .  Are you going to get the 32 Gig version??

Mate, I suspect you're the one of the only people in NZ who cares about the Moto G4. tongue-out

I initially advised against ranging it because it's not well differentiated vs. competition in the price bracket. It's in range because the local Moto distributor brought it in and we figured hey why not. Incidentally, that's also why it's $499 - can't control the local pricing.

If the local outfit offers the 32GB, then maybe - but we can bring in pretty much anything as a special order. Drop a line to procurement@pbtech.co.nz.

To bring this full circle and back on topic, that goes for the XZ Dual SIM as well!

Thanx Nik.  It is a bit over price at $499 compared to $399 in Ozz. Will start looking at something else.  maybe the Pixel when you get it..

Regards,

Old3eyes

I wouldn't consider $100 to be overpriced, given you get a warranty from a local supplier.

So you bring it to NZ and it's covered here by whom locally? Or are you saying you ship it back to AUS? If that's the case you won't save yourself money.

No.  I'm not buying in in Australia.  Just pointing out the cost difference  A$399 = NZ$425 +additional  5% GST = $446.   Kiwi tax again..

In that case, is the reverse not true? i.e. would it not be simpler just to make single sim versions?

Right, because it's really that simple. I mean.. It doesn't cost anything for freight to NZ from Australia right?

I mean I could understand complaining about a $300 difference, but it's $50 less freight and other things.

I am in the same boat. I have the S7 edge however always been fan of Sony and I like this handset. I wanted to wait for the Pixel however the price of it at release vs this price is a no brainer.
