Currently using the Sony Z5 which I was really happy with until I bought my wife a Oneplus 3.

Now I'm really pissed, the Oneplus has better build quality (all metal),is much more responsive with 6 gig of ram vs 3,software(nougat with less bloatware and gets updated regularly) .

The camera is better in low light and is faster, battery life is better ,screen is larger and brighter even though the phone is roughly the same size.

The only area where the Sony betters the Oneplus is the sound is marginally better with front facing speakers.

Oh and the Oneplus was about $200 cheaper vs the Sony when new.

Your comparing a phone that is a year older than its counterpart. Not suprised about the Z5 camera and battery, the Z5 had the powerhungry 810 (reason I skipped the Z5) that not even Samsung wanted to touch and the screen is not as good as the current X series. The camera in Z5 is decent but because of the wide lens+ f2.0 aperture Sony has had to apply some really aggressive software algorithm for the camera to work (fish eye, noise reduction etc). Oneplus is very good value for money especially if the Z5 is still at a ridiculous price.

Hi Starlith, yes you are quite right the Z5 is 8months older than the Oneplus3 so it not really comparing apples with apples although this is difficult as Sony seems to be 6 months behind in the mobile phone development cycle.

If you compare, the One plus 3T with the Experia  XZ it still falls short on most criteria as it seems all Sony has done is upgrade the processor from the Z5 (still lags behind the 3T).

Ill make mine a 3T.
