I had a look at both a P20 and P20 Pro in store. The size difference is less than I thought, there's not that much between both phones. The P20 is quite a bit taller than my Galaxy S7.

Hardware is very nice, they definitely look and feel very premium.

Still not sure I like EMUI, no 3.5 headphone jack, and I really like the size of my S7, so not sure if I will pull the pin. But they are very nice.

Hmmm. Also I was told I have to talk to them to get an OS update for this unit.

Here's an interesting thing: I (used to) have a Semble SIM card. Even though the service doesn't exist anymore, the SIM still performed its functions of connecting my device to the network. It worked on a series of Huawei phones (P9, P10, Mate 8, Mate 9, Mate 10), Nokia 8 and OnePlus 5T. It didn't work on this Huawei P20 Pro. I tested with my daughter's SIM and all was fine. I then went to a Vodafone store and had the SIM swapped so that the P20 Pro could work.

Just interesting to know.

Yep, that's why. Had to get demo units and review units into market ASAP and the single SIM variant arrives later.

Haven't tried my primary SIM in the P20 Pro, it's a Semble SIM too, curious to see if I experience the same issue.

It won't be ranged here to my knowledge. Between Nova 2i and Nova 2 Lite that bracket is pretty well covered.

I spent quite a bit of time with P20 in store yesterday. The hardware feels absolute quality and I warmed to EMUI as well - there are a lot of well thought out optimisation/customisation options.

However, the one thing that bugged me was the display. Colours looked flat and screen brightness felt dimmer than other LCDs. The whole thing just looked a little washed out. It's a real pity they didn't drop an OLED into this phone as with the Pro.
