Mine's arrived :)  46mm is fine, doesn't seem big at all.

Does Samsung pay to work on it in NZ?  Without a Samsung phone?  I see there is an option to sideload apps.

My 46mm watch arrived today at around 11am. I am pretty comfortable with the new watch on my wrist. :-)

Here is a size comparison with my 15+ year old Casio watch which is still running on the original 10 year battery.

Battery life should be ok for me as long as i get 2 -3 days which is what i get now with gear neo 2 if get more then better plus with duo charger easier to just top up. Did see on one you tube videos guy said only one day got me a bit worried but he did have watch display always on and heart rate always on which use a lot of battery and possibly other things working. For me don't use many apps mainly notifications, messages, pedometer probably try out a few more of health apps see how they are. Watchfaces (not Samsung ones) can be bad some of them with big battery drain can usually see in battery usage so just usually delete them. 42 is definitely better size as opposed to 46 and weight also lot lighter and very happy with this size. Just seen when starting terms and conditions agree to here maps I think it was haven't had chance to check this.

@sxz-don't think you will be able to sideload apps on watch only from galaxy apps store as all apps in tizen.

I plan to have my screen always on which is the same as I have done with my Huawei watch.  I feel it makes me superior to the Apple Watch people with the a blank watch face on their wrist.  Battery life is vastly improved if you choose a watch face that's mostly black.  I don't think I will leave heart rate monitor on as the review say it doesn't work that well and I can't imagine that the data is interesting or relevant while I am sitting at my desk.

Still waiting for mine (cry cry), I am going to go past the mall on the way home to see if it's arrived yet.  It was confusing as the Samsung bloke said it would be there 9am friday morning but surly that means Thursday delivery?

Well what a disappointment this whole thing has been.

On the 11th (Tuesday) at noon I went to the Samsung shop in Riccarton Mall in Christchurch and had a look at the display model.  The salesman assured me that if I preordered one it would be ready on the shelf for me on release day.

A short three hours later they rang to say there had been an unexpected delay and that the watch would arrive on the 14th (Friday).

On the Wednesday I went in and inquired. They said there had been a hold up in customs but it was on track now and that it would definitely be here on the 14th.  I don't actually believe the excuse because the 42mm model had arrived and people on this thread got their watches so logically the shipment got through customs.  I think what actually happened is that mine was a late order and they didn't have enough stock.  They of course didn't tell me this when they were trying to make a sale, just after they had my money.  It was a little unclear exactly when they were expecting courier delivery, they said 9am friday which I took to mean courier delivery late Thursday.

So on Thursday I go in at the end of the day and ask.  Still no watch but it will definitely be here 10am Friday morning they assured me.

Friday rolls around and being slightly smarter this time I leave it as late as possible to go into the mall.  I have just been in and the excuse has now changed to courier problems with the expected delivery date of the 18th!  I asked but there was no discount or free watch strap for the delay and by this point I was over the whole thing anyway so I asked for and eventually got a refund.

As soon as that's through I am going to go order a refurbed blue Gear Sport off Amazon for $230.  It's half the price, 90% of the features and I was a bit unsure of the size of the 46mm Galaxy Watch anyway so this might be the better option.  The only real thing I am missing out that I care about is the better battery life but I charge my current watch every night anyway so thats no big deal.

If you add to that the fact that Samsung support are still giving me the run around in getting the new USB C adapter for using the Note 9 on the Gear VR I am quite disappointed in Samsung in general.  Twice they have dithered about if I can get the adaptor for the Gear VR without proof of purchase of the Gear VR (I brought it off trade me).  I can't quite see how this would make a difference but twice they have said that they will escalate the query and get back to me and twice they have failed to do that.  No response at all.

Has there been any word on the LTE model coming into NZ yet? Also on a side note, why only Rose Gold for the 42mm LTE model?

Sitting in the sun today at about 2pm, I found the Galaxy watch (46mm) easy to read in full sunshine.

Later, after I had been sitting at my computer for a lengthy period my watch told me to do some exercise.

Walked to the toilet... watch reported 'that's better'... Sure was! :-)

Battery status reports 15% used after just over 24 house since full charge.

Still haven’t got mine and JB have told me I won’t see it until next week. Not ideal but a few more days won’t kill me. Got to say unlike some others experiences mine has been very good. JB firstly refunded my shipping costs when they missed the release day. But when I politely enquired today as to what was happening I was told the problem is with Samsung, but would I accept a $50 gift card? Damm straight I would so hats of to JB. Lovin’ my Samsung journey as of late. Note 9 = Sennheiser momentum’s, 20,000mha power bank, Duo charger and the Fortnite galaxy skin. Now free shipping, Ninja nutra and a $50 gift card with the watch! All stuff I can use.

That's the sort of experience I was hoping for.  Life isn't perfect but they can at least help you out if they have let you down.  The thing that really annoyed me is that Samsung were adamant that if I ordered from them it would be there on release day but in the end that was just sales pitch.

42mm comes in black as well as rose gold.  No word of an official release of the LTE version.  The gear S3 only got released by Spark which is annoying if you are with one of the other telcos.

Late update, mine arrived late Thursday morning with the JBL ear bus.
Been a long long time since I last wore a watch. The silicone strap are nice and comfy. Build quality looks to be good too.

NL currently have the sammy evo plus 256gb micro sd cards for $200.

My 42 mm first time went down to 6% before first charge and lasted 2 days and 22 hours and that was including setting up everything (contacts took a long time as didn't realise already done after setting quick dials and couldn't find). Just put on for 2nd charge and after using seems ok just under 3 days perhaps with fine tuning when i get to do maybe better eg heart rate change from every 10 mins. Happy with watch and very easy to use and for me i like this size.
