Do we have a list of features that will not work in NZ? There's this but not sure how accurate it is, https://www.whereisenabled.com/country/new-zealand/

Wonder if there is a way to trick the phone into thinking it's in Australia then at least we would get most of the features.

Doesn't seem particularly accurate.

Just in the first line lists VoLTE and 5G not being available in NZ - which we know is incorrect for Pixel phones 6 and up.
Also, just tried the spotify extension - and it works for me.

24 hours with my shiny new Pixel 10 Pro XL and very happy already.

Still waiting for the Pixelsnap Case and my Dbrand Prism 2.0 screen protectors though.

I would like to buy a Pixel snap charger too but I do not yet know where they are available.

Who did you end up purchasing the Pixel from to get NZ shipping?

I bought it online from JB HiFi in Aus and had it sent via ausff

I've just ordered a Pixelsnap Charger from them too (they weren't available a couple of days ago)

I had a look at Mighty Ape.

Their Pixel 10s seem to be pre order only.

Also, I recall that in the past there Pixel phones were not the "International" versions.

Also, when taking into account the $400 gift card and the NZ GST I paid the Mighty Ape price is no better.

Pixels have been fine in NZ since the 6s  (although they did not work out of the box)

I have been told, no not voices in my head, umm no not in my head that's reserved for bells. I have been told that JBHiFi NZ are in talks with Google to have New Zealand added to the list of approved areas for Pixel devices. Given Googles low level of love for Aotearoa I would not hold ones breath.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a Pro XL pre-order from Mighty Ape. The price is better than a locally purchased S25 or 25 ultra, or comparable iPhone Pro Max (wouldn't buy either but the pricing is a good marker right.

Given it is through Mighty Ape I am comfortable with that given my history with them. Places like Bexcetech and Parallel Imported are the same or more expensive, or have Japan models.

I have had all the bells and whistles working on my 7Pro on 2degrees for the last couple of years in terms of network stuff like VoLTE and wifi calling etc.

NZ is in a weird officially unofficial space with Google. We are on the 5G map etc for them but they don't retail here. Perhaps a reflection of how many device activations they see in NZ so are happy for us to have them and make them work, but don't want to do a deal to retail here, probably because Samsung and Oppo would be mad at them for taking market share.

I might do the same. I emailed Dicksmith (Kogan) to confirm that the model isn't a Japanese one. Mightyape is selling the same

Oh that's good to know, I've just ordered and paid on the basis I assumed it would be Aus stock haha. The fact that it should ship on or before next Thursday was a big factor, having a unit locked in with the colour and storage I preferred

I'll be taking the advice of others here and using JB Au and AusFF to grab a case and ring and charger soon, which is a nice way to pick up the accessories given it was a total pain trying to find the mythical Hazel case for the 7Pro (and I didn't succeed, settling for black when I visited Melbourne and went to multiple shops in the city)
