Even with my S21U and it's now terrible battery life, I'm still not tempted by this. Think I will look at getting a new battery for it and try to make it last a little longer. Failing that, a Xiaomi or Oppo would be my next purchase.

0.7mm thinner, about 20grams lighter and a tiny amount of an f-stop more sensitive on the main camera. Well I guess the S24U gets another year of use.

Frustrating the 16GB RAM version is locked behind the 1tb model.

My s23 ultra is 3 years old now and it really just feels like it's not that much of an upgrade :(

I got a quote from pbtech to replace the battery for $230 or something, so will probably do that and wait until software support ends

This seems like a very good deal, can't imagine its OEM at that price point

I have the S25+ currently but it's not worth paying over $2,000 for S26+ with the same exact specs besides the processor that is the only minor upgrade.

When I look at the S26 series design and specifications my thoughts are why bother. It's also similar to the last 4 iPhone iterations. Maybe it's time for OEMs to stop the annual release cycle. There is no need. Nothing for example have decided they won't release a new flagship device this year.

Maybe concentrating on meaningful software improvements would give users a better experience.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

The design and the specs are the same since the S22 series idk why Samsung even bother now with their galaxy phones, might as well get a base iPhone 17 or even a OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi.

Samsung, Apple and Google all need to move to two or three year cycles. Nothing changes on their phones year to year. Same dull design, same low battery specs, same old camera systems and lens.

It's been more than 24 hours since pre-order kick started and so far I've only seen one member in this thread that has indicated they are getting the S26, and none of the "I just pre-order from xxx, got XXXGB in XXX colour". It's just us geeks here on the forum, I wonder how it will do in general public...

I will buy an S26 Ultra as I think it's still a worthwhile upgrade from my S22 Ultra with a broken screen.

But..... The pre-sales deals are so boring.... I would be more keen on maybe just the outright cheapest deal instead.

Anyone have any tips for the best or cheapest pre orders for S26 Ultra 256gb, couldn't care less about colour...

Wife ordered one via EPP, got the lovely pink. I jumped on board and got the new Buds 4 Pro in black for $220 as she stole my 3s :-D win/win

My funds are being saved for the Vivo x300 Ultra

The biggest reason to get the S25 as an example was the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which was a major upgrade over the Exynos in the S24. The specs aren't the same, but Samsung only changes the bare minimum each time.

Best deal I think is still via EPP/Edu store. There are codes to obtain chargers and also a pre-event code to get a free case. so circa $1950-ish for a 256gb.

If you go via the main store, you will get the free storage upgrade, plus trade in boost. There's also a code from your samsung member sapp which will give you 10% off.

LNY26 gets you another $100 off.

about $2204 for a 512gb.

online chatbots from samsung also often give out codes to boost your discounts further.

Welcome to use the codes I screenshotted below if you are purchasing for the 10% off + free case.

If you added a phone to it and another code the price will go down even more, but for me personally I am gonna wait for another few months or so for the S26 ultra to drop and I'll wait for the big trade in boost for the S25+

If I trade in my S25+ now I can get the S26 ultra for $1,274 total
