So if you were in Aus. You dont need to pay anything extra if buying from them ??
Edit: I thought it was Australian-based.

Do you have an online retailer in mind if you are going to buy one?
There are a few places with pre-orders live:
https://averagedadofficial.com/products/oppo-find-x9-ultra-global
https://www.giztop.com/oppo-find-x9-ultra-global.html
https://www.geekwills.com/oppo-find-x9-ultra-global.html
Also found a global version listing on Ali but with $17k price on it, I am guessing it's a dummy listing and a proper listing will eventually be listed at some stage.
I am only considering the global version, not the Chinese ones, albeit cheaper.
Out of the above sites, Giztop and Geekwills are the cheapest at US$1499 for 12/512GB & US$1699 for 16/1TB + shipping
Do not buy from average tech dad, dude is an absolute POS
I've purchased from both Giztop and Wonda and both have been great for service.
My imported Vivo x200 Ultra with Chinese ROM worked absolutely fine on Spark network.

Thanks for the feedback. So the Chinese Vivo supports wifi calling as well?
From the comments Average Tech Dad makes to his viewers' comments, I totally concur with you.
@heavenlywild Don't worry about the handset supporting Wi-Fi calling worry about the carrier supporting the handset

Never had an issue with any phone I've imported over the years.

Was never planning on getting it from average dad, too expensive with exorbitant shipping cost.
Might get it from giztop, geekwills or Ali once the listing is out of pre-order period with the dummy NZ$17k price.

Will it come down to price for you or how are you deciding who to buy form? Which retailer is the "safest"?

@heavenlywild Well you are lucky then but others have have had problems and ended up crying on Geekzone

It comes down to price mainly however I am also weary of shipping via DHL/FedEx etc. That I may get hit with GST at customs if ordering from geekwills or giztop.
There are VERY few listings on Ali selling global version, most are China versions, so I'll just wait for the listing that I've added to wishlist to come out of pre-sale period to find out how much they actually are.
Everything I've ordered through Wonda has got through customs without GST payment
