Merry Xmas everyone. I am using a Belkin wifi modem/router which has three separate computers and a wifi printer running thru it no problems. I do sometimes have problems with dropout but only occasionally so I dont think that is an issue.

update; I have just noticed that when I turn on the phone wifi it wont connect so I turn on the static ip and it connects for about 5 seconds then disconnects.

Make sure that the static ip you have assigned to your phone isn't conflicting with the ip address assigned by dhcp (ie your router) to your other computers.

Well I think everything seems ok. I have found that if I leave the wifi switched on it reconnects automatically when I come home home so all is good. thanks everyone for your help and if anyone wants the free $200 credit that came with the phone let us know, cheers.
