Just uploaded a video I took at BDO this year. Shows you how terrible the mic gain or whatever is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpTPpOeVrcY

This was not with the Voodoo Kernel audio control settings as people have metioned as I did not have it back then. Now that I have it with my latest ROM flash, will be keen to try it out at the next concert I go to and see how it goes.

Wow, that is bad! Thanks for posting the footage. I'd be keen to see the difference with the Voodoo audio fixes applied. Do you have a loud stereo? :-D

Well we all cant have bad sgs music videos in this thread Tongue out

Recorded this and was very surprised at the volume recorded in my clip below. The guitarist was playing through an amp however the mic sensitivity meant it sounded a lot closer than it did. The quality is excellent though. From this i got the impression that the volume of a concert recording would indeed most likely distort. This was recorded on a ROM without the voodoo (sound/mic improved) kernel.

numfarr: The Galaxy S is very bad at concerts and other noisy environments. There's something wrong with the auto gain control on the microphone so for any sound over a certain level it distorts badly and sounds dreadful.
