Same problem here.

I've just noticed that from the Market page you can access your usual Google bits and bobs like Gmail, Documents, Calendar and whatnot.

But in Gmail, you don't get a link to the Market.  Boo.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but check that your data is switched on and/or your wifi is off to prevent it overriding the data.

Cheers,

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

More trials.  I've been able to install Angry Birds from the Google Market, even though it said it was already installed.  AppBrain didn't show Angry Birds being installed but did after I ran a synch.

Now I'm uninstalling it via AppBrain but I suspect that it wont do diddly squat either.  I'd already clicked the "Installed" button in the GoogleMarket and it was all set for me to install it again.

The Help file is nonsense.  Type in "uninstall" and you get a half cocked page with some odd symbols. But you can select your language.  Just don't expect to see anything ;-)

I've posted the question to their forum.  Now to wait for a reply.

Sorry, what privacy settings are you referring to?

Looks like HTC may have messed with the settings in the desire.

I found this thread about - http://androidforums.com/htc-desire/266940-back-up-htc-desire-system.html

The option you are looking for is Back up my data (Back up my settings and other application data on Google servers).

Atleast thats what it is on my nexus one. I don't know if they will fix your problem, but if the phone is not backing up data on googles servers (like what apps you have installed) then that might cause the out of sync in the market, maybe.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Hey thanks for that, after reading through that thread and jumping a couple I found it.

tomgeeknz:  As posted on @Technobuffalo and others (http://bit.ly/ehvIf8) Google has launched an Android Web Store allowing you to buy, view and download apps directly to your android device.

To be honest it is about time!! Check it out at http://market.android.com

It works well. I bought the "Victoria" voice for the SVOX TTS Classic app. The Market pushed it to my phone almost instantly......the download on my phone started in under 30 seconds after the purchase completing in Chrome on my PC.

Update: I wasn't using wifi at the time. I was on 3G. Maybe that matters.

Did the downloads say 'completed' when you looked at your market account page in your PC web browser?

Do you have your downloads yet? There are reports of many others having problems with the web market, if that's of any comfort.

I'm not too phased. I just would like to have it working but ah well. Hopefully it fixes itself :)

12 apps per page is a bit pathetic...
