Presso: On Spark and am downloading 5.1.1 (O.T.A) as we speak so its out there if you want to check.

What is the build number you ended up with?

(Settings->About device->Build number)

As I said above your post I hope the update process isn't going to be too painful with a rooted device. I have downloaded Smart Switch for PC but I understand the update removes root so I need to weigh up what is more important.

Build number is LMY47X.G920IDVU2COGA

Anyone able to tell me how much time elapses between double tapping the home button and camera ready to go?

Yeah, about that - certainly fast enough to actually be useful, as you can double-tap from the lockscreen.  The responsiveness is great for cute kids/pets etc!

Wow. . .What makes you say that?

Purchased from Trademe.

The box feels cheap. It says 64GB on the front and then 32GB on the back.

Double tap home button doesn't open the camera, plus the camera is horrible. Screen looks rubbish and is unresponsive half the time. The front is champagne color, where as the back is reflective gold. The storage menu has options to mount and unmount external SD card. The vibration feels horrible, not a crisp little vibration.

Gutted to hear that mate - let's hope you get a full refund ASAP.

Out of interest, what model/baseband etc is it indicating?

Yeah, totally agree with you there, much more useful than anything I've had previously, I find myself taking a lot more photos now as there is no wait time or unlocking first.

Any idea what the CSC is on it?

Kopkiwi: OK, managed to get the app installed. Definitely a knock off. Running a Mali processor. 720p screen, 4.6". Has none of the codes, or origin etc details.

Yup, that's pretty conclusive proof.  Seller may have genuinely not known, so here's hoping for a speedy, amicable resolution!!

I would be REALLY surprised if he didn't know. It had been played with and it certainly does not have a smooth premium phone feel to it. In fact I'd have to go back to my original HTC Desire to get a performance this pants.

He is 73, probably not that up on Smartphones :)

Quick question re your Note 4, what radio/modem are you running in it?

Feedback on 5.1.1? I'm on LMY 47X.G920IDVU2COGA Build and Baseband G920IDVU2COGA . I've backed up and done a full reset and device definitely feels snappier . I'll wait until back at work tomorrow to see how the battery life measures up compared to 5.0.2. I believe mine is an Aussie unbranded model. 64gb black model.

Whats the best way to convert from one to another stock ROM properly? Like I have an imported 920i from Singapore which had a British plug in box.

It's an unbranded stock. The firmware finished with BOE3.

I want to make sure I don't trip knox and able to use pay function. I would like proper conversion to NZ or Aus version including the country code.

Thanks.

I'm using an edge+ right now, and it's really nice. Battery life is significantly better than expected. Just wish it came in green.

Download the local build for whichever network operator you use - CSC code will be NZC for 2d, TNZ for Spark, or VNZ for Vodafone.

Flash through ODIN, then boot into recovery mode and wipe data - this is to make sure the correct CSC is applied.

As long as the AP/CP/CSC numbers are all from the same region & build, you'll get OTAs exactly the same as any NZ new G920i from the operator you selected.

Thank you very much for your instruction! Do I need to wipe the whole phone to be able to do it? I currently have AirWatch for work - and although I can get it installed easily, it's a pain.
