Is the S7 Edge Wireless charger and S8 going to be compatible/charge at same rate?

I left my new wireless charger at home (the one from bundle) and use my one I got for S7E at work..

Both seem to charge at the same rate.. works well.. however the newer one is much better imo..

How?

My S8+ sometimes vibrates when I pick it up.

Anyone else seen that behaviour? Maybe I am (unconsciously) pressing something, or the case is?

It's a feature. "Smart Alert" under Advanced Features in Settings.

It will happen if you have a missed call or text message you haven't acknowledged.

Holds it in place better, doesn't slip due to the surface it has (kind of a rubber material) instead of plastic..

It slides down so it's flat and then back up so it's sitting back (see pic)..

I also like the new charger, I don't notice the fan as much as last years models.

Oh, OK. Cool then!

I'm going to commit a quick heresy here and say that I think this phone is nice than the current iPhone. {ducks for cover}

It is. Except for the little bits of lag here and there.

So I've just got myself one of these (S8), and so far I like it! I haven't read through all the pages of this thread yet, but can someone recommend good options for tempered glass covers? I'm guessing the better quality ones are pre-curved to cover the full edges of the glass layer rather than just the front. A workmate got a cheap plastic cover for theirs and it pulls up on the sides.

Either sourced in NZ, or from overseas. Or perhaps someone here has bought a few from overseas and looking to sell them?

I consider myself to be a heavy user though Sunday was a more relaxed day.

Last charge went 30 hours with 7 hours and 39minutes of screen time.

Very happy. S8+.

Oh, OK. Well, colour was pretty good already, so I shall be interested to see if I can actually see any improvement!

I am curious on the update, is this the new practice of Samsung of being able to push updates other than security updates, does this update not normally go through the carrier first ?? , perhaps it did go through the carrier but was very quick. Would be great if they could push out upgrade revisions just as fast.

This phone boots many times faster than the Xperiai had before.

The first few times there was a padlock spinning for a few seconds mid way in the process but that's gone now.
