GregV: I have timezone set to auto, but after the upgrade it puts my phone to CET (UTC+1). Had to set timezone manually. 2degrees

On 2 Degrees also, had same timezone issue, initially didn't notice it as it was just am instead of pm.

Trying to disable / re-enable network provider settings didn't solve, so yeah, on manual time setting for now.

I also think battery consumption has gone up, but no hard stats to prove.

Didn't have major SD card issues, it just unmounted mine automatically, and once remounted it's working fine.

On a positive note I do like the ETA until full battery when charging. Highly useful.

No timezone issues here with a Vodafone sim.

Just finished my video battery test redo on the Lollipop SU6. With minimum brightness like the other one, it only got 5hrs, 21min (vs 7hrs for the SU6 on MM). Again, that's SOT between 100% and 15%.

The phone running Lollipop has around 10 months more use.

Hi All

With two days left of the Vodafone warranty on my DSE SU6 the screen has just showing signs of tiny lines and crosses on the edge of the screen with our without an image. Is this a known fault whih gets worse and is it worth getting it to Vodafone for repair/replacement?

Found one annoying issue with MM: VLC's background play for videos doesn't work. As soon as you switch off the screen or to another app, the video plays for a few seconds, then cuts out. I tried disabling battery optimization for VLC, but that doesn't help.

Yes! I had that exact problem. Your screen will become unresponsive -- initially at the edges, growing slowly inwards.

I took my SU6 in to Noel Leeming due to dead pixels and it was replaced with a SU7.

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

That's encouraging to hear. I took mine into Vodafone Westgate last Tuesdsy and waiting to hear from their service contractor. Vague suggestion it could possible be water damage by staff member. Considering it had the edge line and crosses fault, it is in as new condition and its not been near any water in its life I won't be accepting that excuse.

They said warranty was 24 months.

The new double-press lock button to launch camera is useful, but it does interfere with the already extremely unreliable/tedious operation of the double-tap screen to wake function. Triple-tapping the screen can also cause the camera to launch sometimes, and triple-tapping the screen is something that inevitably happens all the time when contending with the unreliability of double-tap to wake. The only reason I keep double-tap to wake turned on is because I know on cheap phones the physical buttons are often one of the first points of failure, and it seems like I good way to prolong the lock button's life.

I'm still having the horrible delayed notification issues I was having on Lollipop. Gmail seems to be the worst.

OK Google is also messed up on one phone "OK Google, turn on the flashlight" now results in a Google search for "turn on the flashlight" instead of actually turning on the light. Same with "set a timer".

Mine's got similar problems and within the 24 month warranty however the phone has had a hard life (dropped a few times) so I'm reluctant to take it back as I suspect they will use any excuse to get out of it.

Vodafone said it is $57 to look at it and return if they consider it outside warranty and you want phone back.

To Vodafone's credit they replaced the fault screen SU6 with a brand new 7. Thanks Vodafone.

Can anyone say how to change the default home screen on the SU7? You used to hold in a clear area, go to the home screen you want as default and then press the top "house" button but the button is not there on the SU7 Android 6.

How do I...

...remove the Google search bar from home screen of an Ultra 7 (Android 6) please?

I searched online for instructions of how to do so, but different brand devices differ in

settings even with the same Android version, and I could not find instructions for this

device. My attempts are frustrating me.

Any experience to share please?
