The Ringke Fusion (fully transparent) has raised corners which gets rid of the rocking since all 4 corners are of the same height.

I think the Spigen Liquid Air is thinner than the Fusion, which means you may not like it.

Hello, does anyone know if all S24 Ultras worldwide have the NZ VoWiFi and VoLTE profiles loaded? I need to purchase a phone from overseas urgently now as my one has broken down. :(

Hi folks, I'm sure the question has been answered but I didn't have much luck with search.

I'm considering the S24+ or maybe S24U via Amazon US as I've got some gift credit there. Is there anything about the US version that will not work in NZ?

I understand the S24+ US version comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as opposed to the Exynos 2400 can anyone confirm this?

Help me build a better way of doing politics in Aotearoa New Zealand

S24 series in US are SD 8 Gen 3 only, no Exynos.

Exynos only on certain international S24 and S24+, including NZ.

US version should work fine in NZ for most part, except VoLTE and VoWiFi which are not guaranteed to work on any NZ mobile carriers.

Would be hit or miss unfortunately.

Ultra's are all Snapdragon

USA - Galaxy S24 Ultra SM-S928U1

International (including here) - Galaxy S24 Ultra SM-S928B/Dual-SIM

You would need to confirm the LTE bands line up with your NZ carrier's. Yes it will work but you may miss important bands and therefore coverage.

OK, I did some research, against a US model (there are various)

Comparing against Spark they both have the applicable bands, but you know, buyer beware. Personally I would stick to the SM-S928B/DS (for Ultra) for future compatability with local bands.

Ended up getting the 512GB Ultra in Titanium Violet and man it is bigger and heavier than my old phone the P30 Pro! Will take a bit of getting used to as I used to be able to use one hand to go from one side of the screen to the other, now I have to use two hands. And I don't think my hands are small lol.

Back in NZ now and VoLTE and WiFi calling seem to be working. I mentioned to the shop that I'd be using this phone mainly overseas and they said I had to make a 10 minute local phone call using a local sim to "unlock" the phone, for anyone else thinking of doing the same thing.

Does anyone have recommendations for a screen protector that works with the fingerprint sensor? The one I got here just never seems to work with my fingerprint no matter how many times i've redone it. Sometimes pressing harder on the screen itself will work but still hit and miss quite a bit.

I use the official one and it seems to work just fine - https://www.samsung.com/nz/mobile-accessories/galaxy-s24-ultra-anti-reflecting-screen-protector-transparent-ef-us928ctegww/

A big thanks to @mrgsm021 for sorting me out with some screen protectors!

I'm now using the official Samsung screen protector and it's great to be able to use the fingerprint sensor again, reliably! Was easy to install but there are two horizontal lines in the middle (must be from the split covers when installing it) that are kinda noticeable.

My S24U Phone app settings does not show the Call Recording option.

There are guides online that require CSC (Country Specific Code) changes, which I am a bit reluctant to do.

My phone software/firmware is up to date.

I am with Skinny.

Anyone enabled Call Recording successfully and have any guides?

TIA.

It seems that call recording on the S24U is not allowed in NZ.

Also Google Voice which can record calls in not available in NZ.

Yet my landline VoIP provider allows call recording.

I am thinking that maybe if I use my S24U on a VoIP service I will have call recording.

I will look into porting my mobile number over to a VoIP provider.
