Looks pretty much the same to me. There's extra features around blocking spam calls, live call translation and captioning, background noise removal - adding features the Pixel has had for years but in NZ and supported :)

I still miss the Pixel Google Keyboard advanced voice typing features, but otherwise the Samsung is a better phone. Samsung hardware with Pixel software could be interesting.

Upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra back when it was released - it was a fast download and given what the other platform is doing in terms of UI design I'm very happy that Samsung has decided to stay boring and predictable. Everything is rock solid so far - integration with Windows is working great as well although synchronising via wifi is a bit hit and miss so I'll stick with good old reliable cable.

Sigen liquid air case is quite good. I'd like the dbrand grip case but it's pretty pricey. 

I use a Spigen 'MagFit' case. Doesn't interfere with SPen use like some do.

Im really happy with the Torras Ostand Q3 Spin case I got, so useful for vertical or horizontal stand, comfortable for firm hold of the phone and it fits very snug, seems very tough after one drop bouncing down the stairs onto concrete with no marks and the S Pen is un impeded for the most part.

Happy with the phone but starting to look at the next gen and maybe the iPhone 17, the Pixel 10 SoC didnt live up to what I had hoped but will see what the next gen of that CPU spits out. in the mean time happy with the all rounder that the S25U is.

The Oppo Find X9 Pro should be out in NZ soon. The camera looks amazing but there is probably not much else over the S25 ultra. I'm not sure what the Oppo OS is like compared with OneUI

I did end up getting a Kindsuit on sale and it's a great case.

It is a good, all round phone.  I'd like something smaller and lighter, but then it wouldn't have the amazing screen.

I am tempted by the iPhone 17 Pro, but by the time I've paid for the Max, a watch and Airpods, it's a big investment.
