Anyone purchased the Mophie Battery cases? Wondering if they're worth the money? The battery on the S6 is bloody terrible.

I haven't tried the battery case, but actually find the battery life pretty good. To be fair, I'm running a custom firmware and kernel, and have Servicely helping too. Are you getting the infamous Google Play Services battery drain, or something else?

YEah I'm running custom too. Nothing major draining, just my normal usage from Note 4 days but I have to charge in the middle of the day. Whereas the Note had no problems keeping up

Anyone else having problems with reception, mine seems a lot worse with my new S6 than with my old S4?
Seems to jump around the different spectrums a lot and drop calls when im at home which my S4 never did.

Have you tried changing network mode? Settings>>Mobile Networks (under Connections)>>Network Mode, and change to WCDMA/GSM(auto connect).

My s6 also has quite weak reception as well (I am not sure it is a faulty unit or not), It gets 1 or 2 bars less than my wife's Note 3. I had to set up a mobile signal repeater for better reception for my s6.

Ill give it a try for a test, but that would seem like a downgrade rather than an upgrade on the phone front.

Hi guys, what would be the best way to root my phone details below.

Model number: SM-G925I
Android version: 5.0.2
Baseband version: G925IDVU1BOE3
Kernel version date: Fri May 15 2015
Build number: LRX22G.G925IDVU1BOE3

I've looked at pingpongroot but my baseband version seems to be incompatible - however this also seems like the only way to not trip KNOX.

Suggestions?

Right, so after taking my phone in to 2degrees they adjusted some settings but it still drops calls all the time (2 a day) and sometimes after dropping a call I cant even use the phone for a couple of mins as there is no network signal, this happens anywhere and everywhere.
Ill be getting it sent to samsung for diagnosis, which if they don't find a fault I may well rejet the phone under the consumer guarantees act, as a phone that doesnt phone is useless to me.

This is really disappointing because apart from the signal issue its a great phone.
Any other advice before I take the hard road out?

The 5.1.1 update was made available to my Spark Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) today

First impressions are good - everything is feeling quite snappy. There are a few minor icon adjustments for the stock apps (rounded corners). It's nice to have the A-Z sort option back for the stock app drawer. That was the only reason that I installed a third party launcher

Are you sure that happnes anywhere and everywhere? It looks like a hardware issue. I think you should visit 2degree outlet with your s6, show the issues and get advise from them.

I had similar issues before, but only inside of my house. In the end I had to install a mobile signal repeater/booster in my house. Without the repeater, my S6 get 1 or 2 bar less signal than my wife's Note 3. Something wrong with my s6? (Or with my house?) I am not sure, but I am now happy with my s6.

Thats interesting its been available on Sammobile for a while so flashed it using Odin, to be honest didn't notice much difference still runs very well to the point I haven't bothered flashing Custom Rom which is most unusual.

Not sure if anyone already posted on these but bought a carbon series skin from Slickwraps and very impressed. Like the way fits sides, top and also front and feels good not slippery like the glass.

Always hated covers and never saw point in covering up phone to twice its size

You may have already been on 5.1.1 and the update today is just a minor one by the looks of it. Mine was already on 5.1.1 and I am downloading the update now which is around 230mb.
