It appears my WiFi Calling issue is actually a bug/poor implementation on Vodafone, thanks to MaxineN pointing it out in the VF Wifi Calling thread.

I can get it to work with the Flight mode on -> Wifi On trick, but as soon as mobile data is available it will be shunted back to VoLTE.
