timmmay: I don't seem to be able to get the update. I go into settings, check for firmware update, but nothing. I'm still on Android 3.2 (not 3.2.1).

That is odd. I was rooted and I couldn't apply the update until I'd unrooted (and now rooted again). But had no problem after unrooting with it automatically showing there was a newer version. Have you powered off and tried? Not that it should make a difference but you never know :)

3.2.1 update was there this morning. Had to force the TF to look for it though. After the update all seemed okay, however when it went into standby it wouldn't wake up again! In the end I did a hard reboot and all seems to be operating properly again.

If any TF owners are using aMPdroid or Dice Player I have a couple of questions.

In aMPdroid my DesireHD will happily play streamed video from my MediaPortal HTPC but my TF won't. The stock player just says it can't while MoBo and Dice will play about the first 2 seconds then give an error. Any clues to a player that may work in this instance?

In Dice Player, what is the padlock symbol that appears at the top left of the screen for?

As for the TF2, I hope it will fit in my TF keyboard/dock.

Although I have only recharged my TF a couple of times since getting it (so not properly conditioned yet) the battery doesn't seem to be lasting as long since the 3.2.1 update. So it will take a few more battery cycles to get a clearer picture but with improved wifi performance may come reduced battery life :(

Try using auto airplane to shut off wireless when you're not using the tablet. It seems to work better than the built in feature.

Hmmm... interesting. I am yet to recharge since the 3.2.1 update cause havent been using it too much (I recharged when I upgraded and am still on about 40%). I havent noticed any specific difference yet, although I did find that new notes application to be quite power hungry (and despite my previous glowing review of it a little bit laggy too).

As an update, I discovered the padlock in DicePlayer is to hide the onscreen controls.
Additionally after scouring the interweb for a spare charger/cable I found one at the local merchant I bought the Transformer from in the first place. I had tried ASUS support (based in Sydney) who were useless with their follow up email never arriving, and the ASUS estore in the US to no avail. Was just about to pull the trigger on an order through Amazon when I checked PB Tech's site to discover what I was after. The only downside was surplus international plugs, but the on the upside the usb cable in the kit is about 30cm longer than the original one.

Not cheap I know but was quoted AUD66 + shipping by ASUS Oz over the phone, and it is for a specialised two step power adapter.

Doh! Here I have been complaining about the quality of the Zinio magazine App on my Transformer compared to my DHD and iPad2, and it turns out I've been comparing Apples (sic) with turnips because the oem ZINIO READER app that came with the Transformer is a crappy old version as compared to the current ZINIO app from the market. I just expected the OEM app would update, but obviously not. So now I am stuck with re-downloading all my mags because they are in a different format. That is a small price to pay for higher resolution and links that work.

I had exactly the same experience with Press Reader the version on the Transformer was an old one that would not work correctly. Tried to update it and it refuses. Also becuase it is part of the base install I cannot remove it. Had to resort to downloading the latest version and using that but the old one is still on the Trasnformer and although I have moved it to a back page it is still there, Why do Tablet makers do this I would soon have had an empty OS and let me download everything from the market thn be stuck with an oudated app. I had the same experience with SWPE on another device wich was locked into the O/S and would not let me upgrade

BTW everyone, latest 2.4.2 update to N64oid now has support for multiple controllers including non-Bluez IME controllers. Played some three player Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye last night on the HDTV via the Transformer with a PS3 remote and two Phonejoy's. Magic.
