My old Nexus 6P was guaranteed software updates for three years, and they delivered (Google product). I'd take 3 years worth of updates on the P30 Pro.

I bought a Huawei GT watch from a Geekzone member. Not really a fan of the green strap, especially if you're wearing it all day and not just for exercise. I bought a stainless steel strap from Aliexpress to use instead.

Just a few things to point out. The strap is a slightly lighter colour than the watch. If you have small wrists like me, you'll need to resize the strap. It was difficult without a proper tool, but I managed to do it myself. I took 4 links out.

I'm still waiting to receive my watch. I filled in the form at giftredeem a couple of days after P30 launch, but have still not received it.

I didn't even receive a confirmatory email, just an acknowledgement screen on the website after filling in the form.

Is this normal?

Yes, it was the same for me until yesterday where I received an email of dispatch and got the watch today.

Yes, it was the same for me until yesterday where I received an email of dispatch and got the watch today.

Same here arrived this morning.

you ordered several days after launch so not surprised you havnt heard anything yet. Possibly a few more days

Just got the tracking email, I didn't fill in the form until the Monday after the Friday launch so if you filled in the form around about that time, you should soon be in business. Peter sounds like he's had a busy week!

Got two phones and received the second watch today but no notification email on that one.

I got a leather strap with silicon inside. Looks good. Marks easy on hard objects but rub with finger returns to normal. I actually like the green it comes with as well.

The leather one has more hard rubber feel with grooves that makes it stay in place better but less comfort. I'd say its a personal preference thing though. Rather than irritating.

a lot of straps on Aliexpress will have the option to ship with the tool included for a couple of dollars more.

Watch arrived, paired and charging it up. Green strap, looks the business...looking forward to longer battery life, the old Samsung Smart band daily charging was not ideal!

I updated the watches firmware for my wife's watch through the Huawei Health App but looks like we do have access to the additional watches faces in NZ yet, does anyone know an ETA for the watch face store ?.
