Just added a couple of nice apps, Note Everything for making quick notes either by text, paint or voice, and lyric search.

Hmm, anyone else not been able to get metric measurements?
I've only got Ireland and the UK list as locales and morelocale2 has an English (NZ) locale, but setting it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm still getting imperial measurements. (Google maps/latitude for example)

Having trouble finding any measurements, where specifically are you seeing imperial measurements?

Google maps will show directions in metric but google latitude is showing friends distance in imperial...

...I don't think it has anything to do with HTC desire settings...

Hi

I have had my Desire for 10 days now so I thought I might post what I have found out so far.

Battery:  Since I have had the phone I have allowed the battery to completely discharge each time.  I now find I get 36-48 hours out of it with moderate use, i.e. using some apps and having the wi-fi on most of the time except overnight and the GPS on for an hour or so a day.  I have also looked at settings/applications/running services to make sure nothing is on I don't need, like Google Talk which use to open itself automatically.

Apps.  I can't believe how much there is to choose from.  My main apps so far are:

World Cup 2010 FotMob:  Fixtures news and results, an awesome app.
BBC Sports news:  All the latest sports stories, again really good.
Manchester Utd Latest News:  All the stories related to my favourite club.
Sporty Pal:  Fitness App, records distance speed and time.  Its OK but I can't get the map function to work and after doing the exact same run again the other day found I had gone 400m further than the previous time.
Dictionary.Com:  Needed to resolve an argument while playing Quiddler.  Excellent
Tricorder:  Intriguing app which shows you solar indices and pictures of the sun form various NASA satellites, measures your acoustic environment, the magnetic and gravitational fields and the strength of the local WI-Fi networks and cellsites.
Google Sky Maps:  Very cool and the kids love it.
Sundroid Free:  Tells you the sun and moon rise and setting times for your location.  Very good.
HamSatDroid:  Gives details of when various amateur satellites and the ISS will pass over your location.  Very cool.

The only issues I have had is Google Maps does not always work as in it won't always find locations I input, or the maps do not render properly.  I also for the life of me cannot get it to send/receive Pxts.

Cheers

PS: anyone else find that when you are putting a long post together you get logged out and have to start again?  I now do mine in Word and paste them in a reply box.

Hi Giggs

Have not had that problem but your post was pretty epic so maybe there is a time out some where?

Anyway great to get your feedback. And since I drew England in the WC draw, GO THE POMS!!!!
