motorwayne: Just got a fright..My phone dropped out of the back pocket of jeans onto vinyl floor, no more than 6 inches (on the loo) and screen was flickering with lines down it!!!!

Frigg!

Adjusted the screen brightness up and down a few times and click auto brightness and over a period of about 5 mins the screen returned to normal.

Weird...any ideas from you techy's out there? Do screen do that and recover over time etc?

One that note...what do we do when the phone sucks a kumera?

I have a return to base warranty... where that base is I haven't researched yet so don't know.

Yes Ebay, came from Singapore.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Sorry, cant take a pic at the moment but it looks just like the ebay photos. Its a very good fit but adds a little bulk to the phone.
Although the back is textured the sides are quite smooth and I felt that lack of grip was still an issue. Given the price, I took to it with some sandpaper around the edges to give a bit more grip. So now it does not look quite so nice but I am happier about not dropping this phone on the floor Laughing.

I am currently carrying mine around in an Oakley Sunglasses bag... feels safer but if I drop it on concrete I know there isnt much protection there. Just want my case to arrive now dammit.

Hey guys, my Nexus 4 keep keep showing SIM toolkit icon on the top bar. I actually can go into "App Info" and force stop it, but it keep appearing every 15 -20 mins. Anyone have a way to permanently force it from showing ever again. I got a Vodafone SIM card in the Nexus 4.

I'm looking forward to seeing what is thought up as to a way to get better battery life. Have to say it sucks big time. The GPS nails the battery.

Anyone know if a 2 Degrees nexus 4 would have software updates slower than a google play nexus 4? Has there been any precedent in nz that might give a clue to this as far as nexus phones go? Cheer

I very much doubt that these phones are any different inside the box (other than a NZ power adapter) than the imported phones. There will not be 2degrees specific firmware.

I'll let you know when I buy one next week...

If they are different, take it back and get a refund, because it'll not be a proper Nexus 4! (and you'll get screwed on updates)

I'm very interested to see if these are differing from the play store versions.
