Touchwiz is the least of my problems on my note4 - unusable 4G is the problem I have. Turn it to GSM/UMTS/LTE mode and it will lose all signal within 2 days needing a powercycle to get it working again. Even the network mode option greys out in settings when it's spazzing out.

So I run my 4G phone in UMTS only mode most of the time. And that is getting so bad on spark its not funny.

Have you tried a full factory reset?

No, CBF re-setting it up. If I have to readd accounts and stuff it will be when I get a new phone. To be honest I just use my note 3 mostly still. the 4 doesnt add anything of value and the bluetooth on it also sucks compared to the 3.

There are rumors we will get 5.0.1 this week fingers crossed. Waiting to for lollipop before releasing the first rom so shouldn't be long.

I am currently in Melbourne and looking to pick up the N910G model which is the S805 version. It's completely unlocked without any carrier bloatware and a good price too especially given the current exchange rate. Does anyone have any experience using that model? Any thoughts / suggestions would be welcome before I buy it.

I may have had a similar problem. Loose all signal and it doesn't come back until after a reboot. Flight mode won't engage/disengage properly either when that happens (which I tried as an alternative to make the phone realise it wasn't on the network instead of a reboot), so the only option is a reboot. I noticed the problems started after the ANT radio service apps got updated (factory installed app, but updates via the play store). There were several updates for them recently. The problem appears to have been fixed or is now very infrequent to recall when it last happened at the moment.

I think I also noted in another thread where you mentioned your bluetooth problems with the Note 4.

Have you tried it recently?

The reason I ask is that there has been a couple of updates to the ANT Radio Service (pushed out through Google Play). I previously had a stuttering problem with 1 of the 4 bluetooth devices I connected to (a Samsung Soundbar funnily enough) and everything now appears to be working perfectly.

I will try letting all that stuff update and see if it changes anything.

Basic problems on the note 4 are, controls on the speaker/headdeck/headphones unresponsive. Commands are queued somewhere and will happen several minuites later. Audio dropouts all the time, even if I turn wifi off. Same areas, same devices note 3 and chinese cheapie phones are almost stutter free - maybe one per song max, vs 10 or so per song. Its not source app as I have tried google play music, spotify and rdio, and even pandora for a bit and all do it.

I tend to not update the bloatware I dont use. I have it set to ask me for all apps now because its annoying when it decides to start updating _everything_ when you are wanting to use the phone so it goes slowly. Why it cant pre-download the updates and install on request is silly.
