All NZ-new retail P30/P30 Pro units are identical hardware and software out of the box regardless of the network or retailer which supplied them, it's not like Samsung with per-network software builds. The delivery of software OTA is likely to be affected by your choice of network (and a variety of unclear other factors) however. There have been some changes in the way this is done in the past few Huawei product generations.

On an odd note, the 153 update turned off all of my P30 Pro's system animations, I had to dive into the dev options to turn them back on.

Interesting side note to this I pre-ordered S10 from PBTech & my other half had pre-ordered P30 (non-pro) when it got announced. When I got S10 it had 2degrees sticker on it bundled with ear pods. I am with Voda. The P30 box did not have any carrier stickers.

Good thing all 2D phones are unlocked, using on Voda network, no issues & there are no 2D app/bloatware whatsoever. :)

I really wanted to unstall it I think it's making my net worse, being on skinny shifting from 4g to H+ then to 3g.then back and forth .. While skinny primarily works on 4g? ... Haven't found a way to uninstall it

Wonder if I can return my P30? I shouldn't have to side load stuff.

From the looks of it, current Huawei devices won’t be immediately affected by this change. The Play Store and Google’s applications will still work on those devices. However, future releases even sold outside of China won’t include any of Google’s apps or services.

But we are not expecting to receive any major Android update? ie. Android Q

One sad day for Huawei owners, this will be my first and last Huawei device. Hurray to US orange turd

On a assumption of security risk we decided we can do this, this is over stepping the mark, cause we don't like you/that you are better than on us....
