Nivicious: Thanks guys!
I'm having the same charging issue, will barely charge when the phone is on. End up having to turn the phone off to get a decent charge which ends up taking forever.

Ended up buying the Nokia charger today, that was linked to on the last page. Fingers crossed this helps

Trust me it will work :)
Got that same charging issue with the missus phone. Swap her cable with my Nexus 7 Cable and it is charging really fast and never any problem since.

+1

Same issue, just changed the usb cable to a standard one from pbtech. The samsung charger was fine just the samsung usb cable failed. No issues since

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Ha! Funnily enough I tried using the Samsung cable with an ipod wall charger.

Phone charges fine with that configuration. Can keep the phone on when it's low in battery and not be worried about the charge being too low when competing with the power used by just being on.

Does anyone know how I can retrieve the sms log? Does it write to a log file, if yes where exactly is it located? I can see the call logs that span over a month however I can't see the SMS log for the same date..

What do you mean by SMS log?

They're all in the Messages app.  Do you want to see them in chronological order instead of the threaded way they're presented?

If so, there's an app for that :) I recommend SMS Backup and Restore.

Sorry for not making it clear..what I mean is that.. when I go into the logs I don't see the SMS's that I'd sent dating back to 28 April..however I can see the calls that I'd made on that day. Long story short I deleted a number, however now I am trying to see if there is a way to retrieve the number by going the the SMS's log dating back to 28 to get the number which I'd sent a text to the number

Guys I'm selling a friend Galaxy S3.
White 16GB Vodafone NZ.
Running on the latest firmware MC2.

Have a few scrubs and dents on the bazel. A couple of almost undetectable light scratch on screen.

It comes with a few cases and screen protector.

He wants $350 or near offer for it. He has upgraded to S4 now.

PM me if you are interested.

Finally decided I wanted to root and run some custom roms.
First problem is odin hangs on "setup connection" when trying to flash CF-Root 6.4 - SuperSU+CWM5.5+CWMManager.

All I briefly managed to pull up on google was to try different odins, Tried three different versions of odin now.
Google also suggested to clear up some space on device, so now have a few GB free after deleting all media.

Still no luck, any one here resolved this issue before?

Try kill all Kies processes before running Odin.
Don't root using cf root 6.4. Use cf auto root.

Johnk assuming you are using windows, ctrl+alt+del and kill any Kies services running in case they are stopping it.

EDIT: Snap Interger :)

odin is not available on Mac or Linux. :)
It uses a different application. So there is no need to assume that he uses Windows, he is using Windows. Lol

No luck, Kies is not installed, got rid of it after my galaxy S 1.
Tried the cf auto root, still hangs at same point.

well test on a different pc in a hour or two, try my luck there.
