OK. There's a small gap between the battery and the case backing.

After a few days, battery life is OK -- it lasts a day with my normal usage. No worse than my old Galaxy S2. It sits at 20% for ages, then suddenly lurches to ~10%, then goes flat.

My headset (ultimate ears 4500vi, replacement for non-headset version which broke) doesn't plug into it properly. Will try one of those iPhone adapter cables in case it's the case around the earphone jack that's stopping the plug going in properly.

It doesn't like my (cheapie SP branded) microSD card so I've ordered a proper Samsung one.

What is the GPS like?
Do you know if it can use 900 MHz?
Strange about the microSD card.

Not really sure which is worse, the S2's camera wasn't too hot either.

I haven't tried the GPS yet. Will find out about 900MHz next time I drive to Wanganui :-)

Samsung MicroSD from SmartDroid is fine. MicroSD card appears as "Phone Storage", the phone's internal 1.77GB storage then appears as "SD Card". Maybe that's a trick to make apps which are allergic to SD cards for DRM reasons use it anyway.

I've just ordered one of these - A7 Quad core 1.5Ghz, 2GB Ram, 32GB Rom, 5" full HD screen, gorilla glass 3, dual SIM - should be a good replacement for my S2.

Need to get them to reply to my ticket first. They've got an address for returning goods in Australia, I imagine they'll just send me a replacement phone. They replace the item and pay for return shipping if things go wrong within 90 days (or the item is DOA). Otherwise they facilitate shipping back to the manufacturer but you have to pay for it yourself :-(
