old3eyes: I had a bit of a play with it today which my Chromecast. I'm not impressed with the amount of titles that can be rented compared to iTunes. It seems to be only some of the new ones and most of the rest are buy only especially Sony Pix.
I tried various trailers some were in HD and some in SD though some times I had to have two or three attempts to get them to play.

Wonder what the difference is in the between the US and NZ store or are we the poor cousin again..??

Definitely a subset....but at least it's there. They have a way of expanding it over time.

Generally speaking, if it's available on DVD in the USA but not here, it won't be available to stream either. (Always exceptions though).

Rented an SD movie for $4.99 and it played fine from my G2 to the Chrome cast.

On a side note I rented Wanted and it was terrible.

Just tried it from the Notebook to ChromeCast exactly the same result - It is still a terrible movie.
