OP12 sold, I have a sandstone and aramid fibre OEM case and a the wireless super voc charger I'd sell. If anyone is after one.

I don't get how OP got such an amazing screen into the OP12. Before shipping it out I compared it to the ROG 8 screen and the OP12 just looked so much more natural and bright.

I need a phone desperately, but I cant buy the 12 with the budget Nord 4 a few days away and then the Pixel 9.

Ive considerd S23, OP12. OP12R. Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8a  (cheap now), but hanging out to see the Nord which doest look anything like the ace3 (but maybe same internals) and the Pixel 9. Its a real tough choice to buy now or see what comes out in the next 4 weeks  or so.

Camera is really important to me. The main sensor and the hasslebad colours look wicked. The Galaxy beats it overall but there is much to like in the OP12

Someone has got a S24U for sale if that's within your budget? https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=77&topicid=315370

I'm really happy with my OP12 - battery life has improved after the last few updates (average of 4 hours SOT by bedtime and easily over 50% battery left) and the camera takes really nice shots all things considered.

Yeh I saw that, looks tidy. Ive seen some really nice ones with Warranty sell for really low prices on Trademe. Samsung is nowhere near release of S25 is it? Not sure why S24 used prices are dropping.

My actual budget started at $800, the Pixel 8 was on sale for that price, but I didnt get it in time. I see they are moving away from the Tensor in Pixel 10. It is a long way back from the performance of the OP and S24 SD8 Gen3 SoC.

So I upped my budget to $1k, which is when I noticed the OP12 in a Photography shoot out giveaway and sure the Sensors arent as good as some, but the main sensor is, mixed with the Hasselblad colours all of the sensors/lenses produce some gorgeous tonality.

So now Im considering $1200 which opens up some 1" Sony sensors like on the Xiaomi Ultra. The Pro uses a 1.31" sensor like with most of the good cameras, and whilst the 15 Pro will too, they moving to an Omnivision version, which will be interesting. My only Concern is, is private data safe, I know there was an issue for a while, but has Xiaomi pulled away from that? It is one reason I want the Pixel 8 Pro, so I can build my optimal OS via Graphene, and Pixels with their in camera processing produce some amazing shot with GCam. The main thing is the users gets to decide every app but more importantly when the app can access other data or apps including when not in use, unlike stock android.

But if the OP Nord 4 suffices and fits in my original budget, it may well be a winner too. Id say my priorities are in order Camera/Screen/UI/Secuity/SoC performance (I dont need the best, I just want something that can keep up with the 120hz screen with minimal stutters).

So with the OP release this week, then Pixel 9 next month, I may just hold off and try and put Lineage on a really old Le 2 in my drawer for the next 4 weeks. Its possible I may love the Pixel 9 and in budget decide to go wit it over the P8 Pro, given the new screen sizes etc. But I wont be forgetting the S24U next month either.

Its incredible the battery life given the power of the device. I agree, the camera does a great job.
