Oh that's good to know, I've just ordered and paid on the basis I assumed it would be Aus stock haha. The fact that it should ship on or before next Thursday was a big factor, having a unit locked in with the colour and storage I preferred

I'll be taking the advice of others here and using JB Au and AusFF to grab a case and ring and charger soon, which is a nice way to pick up the accessories given it was a total pain trying to find the mythical Hazel case for the 7Pro (and I didn't succeed, settling for black when I visited Melbourne and went to multiple shops in the city)

Yea they told me initially it was an international brand product (whatever that means). I then specifically asked them if it was a Japanese model (due to shutter sound restrictions etc). They took a day and then got back to me with

We can confirm that the phone in question is not sourced from Japan.
As such, it should not be subject to region-specific restrictions, including the inability to disable the camera shutter sound, which is commonly enforced on Japanese variants due to local privacy regulations.

Out of curiousity? Why the XL and not just the pro? Also did you go for 128GB or 256? I was leaning towards the 128 but I read online that 128 comes with UFS 3.1 whereas 256 (and higher) use UFS 4.0 – that has double data transfer speeds (so quicker app lauches, smoother performance)

In this day and age, 256GB internal storage should be an absolute minimum IMHO.

I bought it online from JB HiFi in Aus and had it sent via ausff

I've just ordered a Pixelsnap Charger from them too (they weren't available a couple of days ago)

How much was the shipping?

I have a Pro size and it is fine currently, and once you go big you can never go back! I couldn't face having a smaller screen as I know I would regret it within a week.

256gb in Jade. I don't think the XL comes in 128? the faster storage and bigger battery was definitely a factor for me.

I have been fine with 128gb but looking forward to doubling that and enjoying a bit more breathing room for 4K video etc. Apparently it also comes with a year of AI Pro so while I may not use it much, that will be interesting. Though I am a bit old fashioned and just want it to be a smart assistant rather than a video generator or a project pal haha.

Sadly I've heard the 1 year gemini pro is only redeemable in supported countries (like aus, us). I really hope I'm wrong though

I'm loving my 10 Pro with 256Gb. Everything is working well. Camera is excellent. I agonised over whether to get the XL or not, but settled for the std Pro. It seems plenty big enough for me.

I haven't seen the AI Pro free subscription offer anywhere yet. But I'm on an AI Pro plan anyway. With it, you get access to better AI models plus AI integrated into Docs and Sheets etc. which is very useful. I'm in Europe for a couple of months - maybe it's not available here.

I have been told, no not voices in my head, umm no not in my head that's reserved for bells. I have been told that JBHiFi NZ are in talks with Google to have New Zealand added to the list of approved areas for Pixel devices. Given Googles low level of love for Aotearoa I would not hold ones breath.

Maybe these?

I hope it gets somewhere. I like the Pixel range and sick of my iPhone. I have been beta testing iPad OS 26 and if IOS 26 is going to be the same or similar the iPhone will be even more less a friend. I am nervous of parallel or grey imports, my medical situations requires me to have continuity of connection.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I am very happy with mine.

It is hard to believe that a display or camera could be this good.
