APN1 is just for mobile internet right? I have mine called "VFNZ Internet" on my Desire.

While APN2 is setup as "VFNZ MMS", with the same settings as you've mentioned. Although I did add pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend into my "Server" field for APN2.

Strange, because I added the "Server" field in, and I successfully sent an MMS to my gf on the first go.

Oh, and for APN1, the MNC value is "01". It won't let you save if it is blank :)

You are correct about the MNC value, I found that but forgot to edit the original post. I can now send and receive using those settings.

I wonder if Mauricio can add the 01 the post?

What email client are you guys using? I have just download K9 and it seems pretty good, but seems it doesnt have any mail filtering rules ala Thunderbird which would be nice.

For email I'm using HTCs own Exchange mail program, works well.

You can look for the apps online at various places like AppBrain from your desktop, and then get them in the market on your phone. Previously many apps did not show in our handset Market, but now they are all there. AppBrain is particularly good as you can add apps there, and if you have the AppBrain market sync program on your phone it will install them for you (nice for batch installs).

I use the Gmail app that was included with the phone. I love it. Pity you can't save attachments onto your phone though...

I tried the native HTC email client, but I found it doesn't work well with Gmail, as the main menu doesn't thread the emails like the Gmail app does :)

Just received and have been setting up, htc desire. Wicked phone, can safely say the iPhone has been retired lol.

Getting the MMS not sending generic network error messages whenever i send a PXT/MMS. Looked around, well to be honest trawled the forums all over WWW, and noted that obviously (am here in Vodafone NZ) the APN settings are abscent.

Whacked these in and still can't send MMS. Does anybody have any thoughts?

yo.

thanks for the reply Kiwitrc; i had a good look back a page (i can always miss something lol), but can't find anything new.

- Retries not worked
- send first pxt to yourself not work (from another thread in uk)
- populating the server field as well
- matched the external link from forum.vodafone.co.nz and they are the same

In short, have the apn settings above and my mms doesn't work, data on the other hand is rocking along but ....

thoughts?
