Rang Bond and Bond, the guy said they weren't expecting them until the fifth of next month. Interesting.

Noel lemming dunedin said the same thing, 5th of sept. And harvey norman dunedin have taken down the coming soon sign on there tablet display. Talking to one of the salesman he seems to think they arent coming any time soon and are held up with the legal battle thats going on in aus and europe, so who knows if we will ever see them.

The longer they delay the general release the closer we get to the next generation, but who knows how far away that is. Regardless you'd be paying full price for x months until the next gen when it could have been x + 4 months. When did 10.1 first get shown? February? And the 10.1v was available in Australia at the end of April.

And FWIW P7500 is the 10.1v, P7510 is the 10.1. Don't know about the 3G though.

I can assure you the p7500 is the 10.1. It says it right on the back of mine.

Thanks to Nate, I rang Vodafone in Moorhouse Ave, and now have the one Galaxy Tab they had got in.

$999 for the 16GB, 3G

First impression: packaged just like an iphone with the same care and attention to detail.

Can't tell you any more as my wife has commandeered it.

I want the wifi only version, but I'm very tempted to purchase a 3g model. Guy in Vodafone on Lambton Quay said the Courtenay Central store had them, will pop round tomorrow and have a go.

Do you think they'll be out in aus on the 5th as well? I'm heading there next week, and they'll likely be a bit cheaper.

I was thinking of buying a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi version in the US next week. Are there any differences between the US models and those sold in Aussie/NZ?

Cheers

After a quick search it seems P7500 refers to either the 3G + Wifi version or the 10.1v. My P7510 is neither, just a plain Wifi model.

I bought a P7500 case on TM not knowing the difference, and the seller came back and asked which version I had because it wouldn't fit normal 10.1's.

Finding stock of this is proving difficult. Also, The 'vodafone retail' store on Queen street did not pick the phone up at all yesterday :/

Even if they don't have one for sale, anywhere in central Auckland have a working display unit? I would be keen to compare it to my 10.1v

I also could not get through to their phones at all. Try the downstore store in the westfield mall.
