I've currently got the Galaxy Nexus preordered. Do you think the Note will be better than the Nexus? Am thinking now, since I want the bigger size, I might as well go all out since the Note will be getting ICS in 2012. My biggest worry is how the software buttons will work if the Note has got physical buttons..

I think those software buttons will not appear..

Prices are getting cheaper by the week. Now Tech Brands has it at the best price, at $1039. I am waiting for it to drop under the 1k mark:)

If the device has hardware buttons like the Note then the software buttons won't appear

Ah I see..

Just emailed Clove. Will see if they will let me change my order to the Note.. here's hoping!

4 days from UK, less than half a day for local delivery.

First impression: ZOMG it's HUGE!!
Second impression: oohhh pretty colours!!

(also clove supplied a free flip cover too, yay clove!)

Yay! I just sold one of my Note's today, meaning there are at least two other owners in the country now!

How are you finding it?

BTW, it takes about an afternoon of use for your reaction to change from "ZOMG! It's HUGE!" to "ZOMG! That other phone is tiny, like a children's toy!" :)

Still tweaking it with widgets, getting the screens sorted, etc
Fits in most of my pockets without a worry.

It is "shrinking" in size too :D
Or maybe "normalizing" is a better work for it.

Few must have apps from my point of view:

PowerAMP - fixes a few deficiencies of the stock player
Opera Mobile - likewise fixes issues with stock browser (although stock is very good also)
Widgetlocker - get some sweet ICS lockscreen on there!
Screen Filter - a must, especially for AMOLED devices, for viewing the screen in dark conditions
Dice Player - again stock video player good, but Dice Player fixes some stuff
Shadowgun :) Requires Root and Chainfire 3D in order to work (guides for all that stuff at the blog)

Called Clove up last night and they kindly agreed to let me change my order to the Note from the Nexus. Am really stoked for this being my first Android device (been on iOS till now). Hopefully I receive it next week!

1st post for me, but have been using a locally bought (einfo) Note for a couple of weeks now. LOVE IT! Definately gets smaller the more I use it. Fits in all my jean pockets etc. I ended up grabbing one as I was deciding between a Tablet and a phone. This is ideal, as 95% of my time on my phone is spent doing things other than making physical calls. So I figure a decent screen and some proccessing power are more important than having a phone that looks "normal" when held up to my face. I really can't see myself ever going back to a phone with a sub 5" screen!

You may like to talk to Top-10, I bought mine from them and it turned up really quickly, the price is also "negotiable", just talk to them ;)

The only negatives are they opened the box to check it was working and to start the android setup/switch to English (native language on mine is Greek), when opening the box they damaged it (grrrrr), they also supplied a really poor quality and dangerous plug adaptor for the charger.

Great phone though but OMG it's huge, expect to get lots of ribbing from people about it but I did get one person yesterday say "Wicked Phone" when she saw it. I was so happy :D
