Wow. Great service from Huawei. Pleasantly surprised. My phone sorted as well.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Interesting, wife's Mate 20 Pro (LYA-L29) just received 9.1.0.350 - hers was on 9.1.0.342...

9.1.0.342 was the one that broke for many of us, Looks like they pushed 9.1.0.350 to fix it to everyone?

Yes, but how come SlowGlass screenshot above is on 9.1.0.346? Did the device miss a step, or was that a different update?

The only thing in the log here is October 2019 security updates.

I'm in Australia, maybe that's why the latest version is different?

Also just tested Google pay, works perfect now :)

Huawei is quite fast to fix this...

1so i just got another 9.1.0.350 Update.

Looking at the two i currently have AUSC636E10R1P17 and AUSC636E11R1P17 is waiting to install..

19.61KB update Changelog indicates it's a heck of alot more though!

Also had a call from huawei directly, they were really quite genuine. they straight up said hey, we had a minor error in the software, we were able to push out a fix.

Have to say, how they have handled all of this (past the initial reporting) is Excellent.

Edit:

this update seems to have added back in the Play Protect Certification thing. it wasnt showing before i updated (But it's certified so all the better it's just confirmation)

CTSProfile checks are happy still :)

Hi guys I am looking at getting this phone soon. I am trying to get some feedback from current Mate 20 pro users if they are still happy with their device, has it been updated to Android 10, security updates, etc and any potential issues?

Would be great to get some feedback to help make my decision. Never used a Huawei phone and possibly the last of the phones with GMS.

Keen to hear thoughts.

Cheers

Sid
